Picture Manipulation

Hey!

I wanted to ask if anyone here knows how to make manipulations.
What programs and tools there are needed, because i have seen so many beautiful manipulations on teh net, that i wanted to make some myself but i don't know how.

So if there i someone who can explain it to me...

I can't say that I have ever tried any manips but I would assume that you would need a fairly good graphics program like Adobe Photoshop or Paintshop Pro.🙂 I use Adobe for most of my graphics but still sometimes use PSP along with.
 
I know how to make simple ones but im not sure on how to explain it. its a lot to do with layering you'd have to use a program like photoshop or paint shop pro.

basically what you do is if you are wanting to change someones face and put it on someone elses body you cut out teh face and layer it over the body so that non of the original face shows then what you have to do is change the skin tone so that the head matches the body, you can do this by chaing the bightness and contrast on either or both the head and body so they look kinda matching. but its diffituclt to get it just right.

then you just got to merge the images together so it looks like there are no sharp lines. kinda liek htis one

Yeah, I use Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop Elements 2 for my manips (which you can see in my gallery if you want an example). For body manips, the key thing is to get the skin tone right which as Nicobe said requires brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, etc. The other thing that makes them look more realistic if they look a bit choppy is to duplicate the layer, apply a gaussian blur of 4.5 or 5 to the top layer and set the opacity to around 49%. That's especially useful with recolors because theres only so specific you can get with the lasso and hue/sat. tool. The one other peice of advice I have is zoom zoom zoom. When you finish, zoom in and edit the minor details with the pencil/paintbrush tool.
