The first Pirates of the Caribbean film followed the high-seas adventures of Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) as they chased down the villainous Capt. Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), who stole Sparrow's ship and held Turner's beloved, Elizabeth (Keira Knightley), hostage. The sequel is already under way, with the film's screenwriters working on a draft and deals in place to bring all the stars back.

Good news - I really enjoyed that film. Really put me in the mood for Talk Like a Pirate Day. Yarr!🙂
 
I'm glad that they getting the original cast back. It wouldn't be as good if they didn't. I hope the storyline is as good as the original coz I can't see where they'd go from there...but then that's why I'm not a screenwritter 🙂
 
well i have still not sceen it but i thought i better post about it as i have had so many banner requests for it and i know there are so many members that love potc
 
The first film is really good!!. It's so funny!! I think if they didn't have the original cast in the second film, I wouldn't bother watching it!!
 
Wow... i'll definately be going to see that one! I loved Pirates of the Caribbean! oooaaarrrr!!! Johnny Depp has never been more stunning! ::drool::
 
Disney are thinking of filming two sequals to Pirates of the Caribbean back to back (like what The Matrix did). If this did happen I'm guessing we would not be seeing a sequal till about 2006-7.
 
So far Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley have signed on for one sequal (Disney are trying to get them to sign a two sequal deal). Gore Verbinski will also be returning as director.
 
Wow, that is great cause I actually liked the first one, and I didn't think I would. So now I am looking forward to this sequel, chants "and it will be good <crosses fingers> not a disappointment like the Matrix sequel.." lol

This is off subject, but I thought that Matrix 2 kicked major ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Furthermore, Even if movies are recreated they are not entirely the same....different actors/directors...different tones....different ideas....
