I liked the movie, but I couldnt really enjoy it. The theater was packed so I had to sit next to a guy with really bad b.o., and he must of seen the movie 5 times cause he said the lines the same time as the actors and it was really really annoying.
Orlando Bloom is so hot!
 
lol that hapen to me before.....I was watching Two Towers for the first time and this person next to me was teling his friend about what was going to hapen next and was totaly spoiling it, my boyfriend told him to shut the hell up and he stioped but not till the movie was halfway done and i didnt enjoy it that much but the second time I was ok. The guy was REALY fat and was hoging the arm rest and I was realy mad and hot and I wanted to scream.....I was gonna get up yell at him and tell him to move...LOL

It is such a great film, really entertaining and Orlando................hmmmmmmmm!!! Johnny Depp is SO good in it too.
 
Hope none of those bad theater experiences happen when I go again...ugh, I would hate to do that. Only, I think I might give away a few lines now...I know them so well 😉
 
Wow...the lines had to be the best part of the movie next to Orli. Johnny Depp was hilarious...I loved every line of his. lol..."You need to get yourself a girl, mate." and "I deserved that." And the beginning scene with him riding into Port Royal with a sinking ship was almost too much...hehehe

Ok, i'm only going to quote one person, but i totally agree w/ everything everyone said!!! All of Johnny Depps lines where hilarious even on the 4th time i was still laughing. And about my banner, i didn't make it, Foi did, sorry.
I also can't wait to see Troy, brad pitt and orlando bloom!!! It's going to be great!! Does anyone know when it comes out?

Heehee, it was during the fight between the Interceptor crew and the crew of the Black Pearl. Will was trapped underneath the deck, and Elizabeth was trying to get to him, and then Jack sees the monkey scurrying across the board to the other ship with the medallion. I had to see the movie again to get that, and no one could understand why I was laughing so hard at that point 😉

I think Troy comes out late 2003 or early 2004...I'll check on that to be sure. I'm looking forward to some Orli scenes 😉
 
i know i can't wait for Troy. And yeah, that part is really funny!! All Jack's lines are really funny!!
I have a question though, does anyone know why they needed Boot-strap bill's blood in particular? I mean, why couldn't they just use someone else's blood, why did they need his?? I dont' get it and i've seen the movie 4 times did i miss something??
 
Because he stole the coin to begin with. The whole crew hoarded the case of coins, and I'm sure that they all took a coin (if not more 😉). Any person who steals a coin will be cursed...so Bootstrap Bill was cursed. But since he's at the bottom of the ocean (almost said Davey Jones's locker 😉), he can't give his blood, and Will is the next blood relative.

Which makes me wonder, if Bootstrap Bill was cursed, then he couldn't die, even if he was put at the bottom of the ocean...he's probably dead now that Will has lifted the curse, but to think, he was alive all that time 😀
 
no I dont think he was cursed I think he didnt take one cuz if he did then they could of just went down to get him since they could go under water they wouldnt of gone through al that trouble to find Will, but I wonder how he gave the medalion to will and elisabeth nor will got cursed, maybie it only cursed the ONE who stole it, soooo maybe Bootstrap stole if from a pirate that was cursed and gave it to will.....I dont know, Its starting to confuseme now LOL

Well, no, I think they dropped Bootstrap in the water before they realized they were cursed (that's what they said...lol, "And that's what you call ironic.") lol. But I'm sure by that time (when they realized they needed his blood), they had pulled pretty far away from the location that they dropped Bootstrap, so they probably didn't try to find him, it would be easier to track down Will or Elizabeth, as the gold "called to them".
 
i think that Bootstrap wasn't cursed he must have taken it from another pirate to send to Will. Because otherwise i think he would have been up from the bottom of the ocean by now.
but that still doesn't answer my question...why did they need BOOTSTRAP's blood of all the pirates that stole gold...i don't get it.
 
Wait, you have to remember that Bootstrap was sent to the bottom of the ocean with a cannonball attached to his feet. Either he sunk there, and stayed there, or broke free, and went somewhere else, but the crew does not know where. He stole the coin, and therefore, his blood must be the thing to return it back to the case. Since the Black Pearl crew does not know where Bootstrap is, they have to find the coin, and Bootstrap's blood heir, and return the coin with the blood to get rid of the curse. Elizabeth gave her name as Elizabeth Turner, so they assumed that she had the same blood as Bootstrap, but they really needed Will's blood.

The reason they need Bootstrap's blood, and only Bootstrap's blood, was because his was the last missing coin that they needed...and without his blood it wouldn't make a difference. Remember how Elizabeth's blood didn't work?

So it's similar to that.

And also, Bootstrap doesn't necessarily have to be dead...he might be out somewhere, on a different island. Anything is possible 😉
 
wow i had a dream about johnny depp.....and i think...NO...i KNOW it was the BEST frickin dream i have ever had in allllllllll my life!!! he sooo freakin sexy!

lol, anytime. I was beginning to get confused myself, because the more I thought of it, the more it didn't make sense! lol...but it's cleared up for me as well.

And Johnny Depp is quite nice to look at 😉...very sexy. He's in this month's issue of GQ. Yummy pictures 😉 :blush:

ok, ok, i just went to see this movie again.....5th time, haha. Anyway, i noticed a few things, first of all, i know that the general theory was that they needed Bootstaps blood because he had the last medallion, BUT at the very end Jack takes a gold piece out of the chest so wouldn't he have the last one? Meaning they would need HIS blood??
ALSO-At the very end when Jack in swimming back to the pearl you see it in the distance and it has WHITE sails? Could this be a mistake??

Third- After Jack has been cursed and he is fighting in the cave, Elizabeth walks in and doesn't seem the least bit surprised that Jack is now a skeloton....she didn't know that he was cursed before this, so it seems a little strange.

ok, one more thing-Mr. Gibbs is at the very beginning of the movie when Elizabeth and Will 1st meet, then he was not a pirate, but later in the movie when Jack meets him in Tortuga he has become one. Anyone know why this is?? It's seemed strange.

I have answers, lol...

1. Jack did essentially take the last coin, but if you watched closely, he cut his hand before he threw the coin to Will. His coin was covered in the blood from his hand, and then Will cut his own hand and covered Bootstraps coin with it. That way, both coins had the blood of the people who stole them. So he did use his blood to return it 😀

2. I think the sails were a fluke...they probably only looked that way. I personally thought the sails looked a little gray, so maybe the light was playing tricks on both of us 😉

3. Actually, Elizabeth was a little surprised. Because when she walked in, and saw Jack in skeleton form, she commented to Will: "Who's side is Jack on?" to which Will replies "Currently...?". Lol, so she was a little surprised to see Jack like that, but once she realized that he was on their side, it seemed okay.

4. Mr. Gibbs is not really a pirate, but he knows many of them (Jack for instance). Gibbs warned the crew in the beginning that pirates were fierce people (probably having encountered the crew of The Black Pearl), and was told not to go spreading such news to the young Elizabeth. In Tortuga, it's never established that Gibbs is a pirate. He's just an acquaintance of Jack...

And as for the avatar sizes...there are some mixed sizes of the avatars. You have an avatar that is 85x85, while Lost Angel and I have an avatar that is 100X100. If you look through the avatar selection, you'll find one that's bigger than the one you have...maybe not the same picture, but bigger.
