Pixar's Up.

Couldn't find another thread anywhere that discussed this, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen Up, the Disney/Pixar film. I went to see it yesterday with my Aunt and two cousins and I've got to say, this is the best movie of the year. I've never been as thrilled, carried away or charmed, by a movie as much as I was at this, not to mention I cried buckets. Very, very moving film this. I was in no way prepared for the first ten minutes which packs in so much emotion, more so than most other movies do in their whole running times. Tremendous, even if you don't like animation, I implore you to watch it if you haven't. Brilliant, brilliant film, but please, have a packet of tissues at the ready.
 
I saw it in Vegas! 😀 I loved it a lot. I remember sitting on my bed eating yummy pasta and crying at the beginning lol... the bird and the dog were soo cute!
 
I haven't saw this yet.. looks good though.
I just watched Coraline for the first time last night, and it's really weird and cool 🙂
That's Tim Burton for ya though.
Oh and i saw the trailer for his new film '9'

Anything of TB's is brilliant 🙂

I love Coraline! I saw it with nephue.. he liked it too I think! :D I agree, anything of TB's is amazing... especially The Killers' Bones video :)
I loved the movie Coraline. Amazing stuff. What is it with kids movies today, they're so damn good. Up, Coraline, WallE, The Incredibles, Shrek, I could go on forever.

I don't think Burton had much to do with Coraline, though it was directed/produced etc. by Henry Selick who was the director of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, so I guess there will be similarities with the Burton film.

I think I would like to see Up. It was being promoted very heavily at Disneyworld when we were there in March and looked excellent. If it's only half as good as Wall-E it will still be better than pretty much any other film 🙂

Well, we went to see Up yesterday and came back with some spiffy 3D glasses and it was just bloody wonderful. Pixar just keep upping the ante (no pun intended). They seem to have found the knack of pushing all the right emotional buttons for me. This film has such a huge heart...it's funny, sad, occasionally exciting...and, if imdb is to be believed, contains the first depiction of infertility to be found in any Disney work. Marvellous...I reckon it was almost as good as Wall-E, which is extremely high praise. Go and see it...you won't be sorry.
 
I saw this last week and it completely destroyed me. I cried like eight times and I thought I was going to have to leave the cinema at one point. It also left me ridiculously upset for the rest of the day, but I suspect I have some other issues that the film touched upon. It was a beautiful film but I don't think I'll ever watch it again on account of it breaking my heart into a million pieces!
