Okay.. I am intrigued.

When intergalactic aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (Kevin James) has to call on his childhood best friend, '80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet. Joining them is Lt. Col. Violet Van Patten (Michelle Monaghan), a specialist supplying the arcaders with unique weapons to fight the aliens.

Odd casting. Not sure I will be rushing to see it. 
Monaghan is decent from what I have seen of her. Dinklage is great. I think we agree on Sandler and James🙁

Actually thinking about it, I think Sandler and James might be a really good choice. I think the source material would be perfect for their comedic talents.
Oh man, that really hurt... that hurt alot

I saw that, I'm intrigued, but I REALLY dislike Sandler. I think he is an awful actor.

If I see this, it's solemnly because 1. I like video games, and 2. Peter Dinklage.

Yeah if you watch him in the Wedding Singer he can't even play drunk convincing and that is like acting 101. Have never found him funny, but that film was decent, maybe a bit of a guilty pleasure watch. Punch Drunk Love is the Sandler film you should watch.
