Hey guys,
I just bought the first book of Angel After the Fall, with the five first comic books. I kinda like it so I think I'll keep on reading, but in my comics shop they don't have the old issues, so I'll have to buy the books on Amazon... Problem is, I don't get it. I seriously don't get it. I'm so sorry if this has been brought up before, I know some people asked kinda the same question but I never understood the answers they were given.
That's why I'd kinda need you to show me with Amazon links what books I have to buy... Pretty please?

Besides it never says what issues there are in each book... it's really confusing.

Okay - you've got the first one (includes issues #1-5)
the one youve got as the second is indeed the second volume of After the Fall (issues #6-8)
The one with Angel and Illyria on the cover is volume 3 (it hasn't been released yet, TFAW says March 25 #9-12 (?))
The one with Spike on the Cover is the TPB of Spike: After the fall (four issues, also not released yet, TFAW says Feb 25)

So, is "Spike : After the fall" independent from "Angel ATF" ?

I guess I'll buy those three books and go to my comics shop hoping they still have issues 13 to 16 so I can go back on track...
 
Spike: after the Fall is an independent but related story to After the Fall...if that makes sense. Its very good and well worth reading.

They're not really independent. I think it would be like only watching the Faith Arc on Angel. You'll get the gist of it, but in order to get the full picture and enjoy it most you have to see the Buffy episodes too.

By the way, I'd read Spike After the Fall after reading Angel After the Fall Vol. 2 "First Night" and before volume 3.
 
I just went on Amazon to try and order the first AtF trade paperback, which was released Thursday. But under availability, they say "usually ships in 1 to 2 months."

WTF? 1 to 2 months? For a brand new title?

Did IDW severely under-print this book and run out of stock based on pre-orders alone? Judging by the book's sales rank I'd say no.
 
I guess the third volume will contain issues 9 to 13, as it's said to have 192 pages, which is exactly the same as the first volume which contained the 5 first issues. Crap, I already ordered the 13th issue just in case.

AndrewCrosset : I don't know about your problem. What's the difference between the tradepaperback and what I'm assuming to be called a hardcover ? I mean, my copy of the first ATF volume is hardcover and it's a really nice book, with a little red ribbon and everything. I guess you could order that instead, it's so pretty!
