Am I aloud to make new threads in here?

Ok, you guys know how that I'm obsessed with Mikalah Gordon from American Idol? She finished 11th place this year. She's going to be on the compilation CD for this season and she's on the CD single that benefits the Red Cross. She's been on shows like: The Tony Danza Show, Extra, Access Hollywood and MTV News.

She recently went on a Coca-Cola mall tour to all the important cities in the USA. She only went to Massachusets, New York, Pennsylvania, and Indianna. Those were her tour dates. I was supposed to see her in New York, but when my Uncle died I wasn't able to go. I found out about the Pennsylvania date too soon and didn't have a chance to go see her.

There's a really big Mikalah Gordon website. It's the second largest Mikalah website on the internet. Mikalah and her mother are in constant contact with the people running the website. The website is currently going under construction right now and they need a co-administrator. They need to get along with people, love Mikalah, and know how to build websites. Hello! That's me right there! I just built a website last weekend.

If I get this job, I'll be a part of the biggest Mikalah website on the internet. Mikalah will talk to me on the phone and be in contact with me at least once a month. Mikalah will also autograph any two things I want and mail them to me!

If I get this job I swear to god that I'll cry!

Please pray for me because I really want this more than anything!

Application for MikalahGordonFans Position​

1. Name- Michael George

2. Age- 16, but I'm turning 17 on June 1st!

3. How frequently are you online? I'm online all the time! The only time I'm not online is when I'm at school or every other Saturday night. Sometimes I've been known to be online for more than 6 hours at a time.

4. What is your experience in web design and working with HTML? I make websites all the time. I've used various servers like Angelfire, Geocities, AOL, and ShortUrl. I've made small message boards on Proboards and Invision. I've designed multiple journals on Xanga and GreatestJournal.

5. Do you run any other websites? Yes. I run my own personal website, www.miksonhomepage.2ya.com and a Buffy Fan Fiction website, http://buffytheslayerseason8.alturl.com/


6. Will you be able to make graphics and layouts? Of course. I have my own server to upload the images too In case you don't want to use up bandwidth and I have something that can even convert the file names in case it needs a certain time (.jpg or .gif or .bmp).

7. Do you know how FTP works? No, but I'm a quick learner. Upon reading this question I looked FTP's up on the Internet and have a website book marked that teaches you how to use it. I'm a quick learner.

8. Do you have abilities to make screen caps and videos from your VCR to the computer? I may be able to make screen caps, but not videos.

9. Are you a diehard Mikalah fan? Of course! I wouldn't apply for this job if I weren't. People are sick of hearing me talk about her all the time. I have pictures of her on my wall, a background of her on my personal website, all her websites book marked, wall paper of her on my computer, a burned CD of her audio by every CD player. Everything. She's my favorite contestant that's ever been on American Idol. She IS a great role model. She's a beautiful, intelligent woman, with a great voice and an even better personality. It would be an honor to work on something that's a tribute to her.

10. Do you have high speed Internet? Yes. I have high speed Internet on two computers in my house, both of which I have access to.

11. Tell me a little bit about yourself? Are you in school? Do you work? Married perhaps? I go to school. I'm a proud sophomore at my High School in New Jersey. I don't work yet, but I'm going to start looking in June to make sure I have a car by the time I get my license. I have tons of friends, many of which I'm converting into Mikalah fans. I don't really have a social class, but I tend to lean towards the "punk" crowd more than anything. I love watching horror movies and going to see haunted places. I'm a really nice person once you get to know me and I'm very protective of my friends and family. I can make you laugh even in the darkest hour, and I'm like everyone's little brother. AND I LOVE MIKALAH GORDON!

Just some things about your application:

Sounds a bit too excited and desperate, perhaps put "16, born...." or at least lose the !

7. Do you know how FTP works?

Just say yes for now, it'll take them at least a week for them to go through the applications and FTP is dead easy to learn. You'll have no problem.

I agree with Xander about rephrasing your answer for #2 and #7. FTP isn't hard so definitely say "yes".
 
I handed the application in already, but I get what you mean. I sound way to excited and have a lot of material in there that's not needed. Oh well, I probably won't get it anyway.
 
I can't stand Carrie or Bo. Mikalah is my favorite contestant from this season, and probably every other season. That's why I want the job sooo bad.
 
I'm in the final three people applying for the job. They should have their decission made by tomorrow... after they view a Mikalah website I have to make. As if I wasn't nervous enough, now I have to show them what I can do. I'm going to buckle under the pressure and have a heart attack. Help me. 🙁 My blend/banner making skills aren't that good!!!
 
Well its not great and I'm afraid it unlikely I'm going to be able to change any bits for you as im off down the pub but heres a header you can use. Perhaps just explain to them its a temp one that would be changed?

Oh well, I can always shrink it if you want to use it as a sig or something. If not, its still Photoshop practice.
