Ok, let me explain my dilema, I am supposed to present a monologue tomorrow infront of my drama class. The problem is, I don't have one yet. I would really, REALLY, appreaciate it if people could post some good monologues from Buffy and Angel. I'm mostly looking for Anya, but everything helps! Thanks!

Here's Anya's Monologue from The Body.

Anya: "But I don't understand!" (crying) "I don't understand how this all happens. How we go through this. I mean, I knew her, and then she's, there's just a body, and I don't understand why she just can't get back in it and not be dead anymore. It's stupid. It's mortal and stupid. And, and Xander's crying and not talking, and, and I was haing fruit punch, and I thought, well, Joyce will never have any more fruit punch ever, and she'll never have eggs, or yawn or brush her hair, not ever, and no one will explain to me why."

"Wherever I ... was ... I was happy. At peace. I knew that everyone I cared about was all right. I knew it. Time didn't mean anything, nothing had form... but I was still me, you know? And I was warm and I was loved... and I was finished. Complete. I don't understand about dimensions or theology or any of... but I think I was in heaven. And now I'm not."

"I was torn out of there. My friends pulled me out. And everything here is bright and hard and violent...Everything I feel, everything I touch... this is Hell. Just getting through the next moment, and the one after that... knowing what I've lost ... They can never know. Never."

-- Buffy, "Afterlife" (Spike interupts in the middle.)

"No, you see, usually, when there's an apocalypse, I skedaddle. But now I love you so much that instead I have inappropriately timed sex and try to think of ways to fight a god and worry terribly that something might happen to you, and also worry that something'll happen to me and then I have guilt that I'm not more worried about everyone else but I just don't have enough, I'm just on total overload and I honestly don't think anything could make me more nervous than I am right now." -- Anya, "The Gift"

"Passion"¦ it is born"¦ and though uninvited, unwelcome, unwanted"¦ like a cancer, it takes root. It festers. It bleeds. It scabs"¦ "¦only to rupture, and bleed anew. It grows"¦ it thrives"¦ until it consumes. It lives"¦ so, it must die"¦in time. Passion"¦ it drives some to distraction"¦some to despair"¦some to vengeance"¦ It drives some to murder"¦ and others to madness. Passion"¦ is the source of hope"¦ and the cause of despair"¦ It is the source of life"¦ and the cause of death." -- Angel, Ty King's rough draft of "Passion"

"Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping...waiting... And though unwanted... unbidden... it will stir... open its jaws, and howl. It speaks to us... guides us... Passion rules us all. And we
obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love... the clarity of hatred... and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know
some kind of peace. But we would be hollow.Empty rooms, shuttered and dank... Without passion, we'd be truly dead." -- Angel, aired version of "Passion"

"Well. What a day this is! - Special day. Today is our centennial the one hundreds anniversary of the founding of Sunnydale, and I know what that means to all you kids: not - a darn thing. Because today something much more important happens: today you all graduate from high school. Today all the pain, all the work, all the excitement is finally over. And what's a hundred years of history compared to that? You know what kids? For all of you it may be that there is a place in Sunnydale's history, whether you like it or not. It's been a long road getting here. For you- for Sunnydale. There has been achievement, joy, good times,- and there has been grief. There's been loss. Some people who should be here today- aren't. But we are. - Journey's end. And what is a journey? Is it just- distance traveled? Time spent? No. It's what happens on the way, it the things that happen to you. At the end of the journey you're not the same. Today is about change. Graduation doesn't just mean your circumstances change, it means you do. You ascend- to a higher level. Nothing will ever be the same. Nothing"

Which version of Angelus's voiceover is better, though?

I was going to use the one from "The Body," or "Passion" for my class a few weeks ago, but the monologue had to be over two minutes long, so I was assigned one.

Thank you everyone that posted a monologue for me! I super appreciate it, lol. Well, I actually ended up doing 2 infront of my drama class. I chose to do Buffy's monologue from "After Life", and by popular demand Angelus's little speech in "Passion". I blew my teacher away, she loved them both! I was a little nervous going up at first because everyone presenting before me were doing more comical monologues. I was the first person with a serious one. But I managed to deliver what my teacher thought was "A performance worthy of an academy award"! Lol, I think she was a being a little too generous, but a compliments a compliment and I think that's just jim dandy!

Thanks again for all your help, you guys are swell😉!
