PM isn't working anymore

I tried to send a PM this afternoon to someone, but only when I can online tonight and saw the recipient was online, but I had no reply I checked my sent messages folder and realised it wasn't in there. Then, I send a new PM, this one did get send and I got a reply, which I wanted to reply on again, but now after writing it I got the message "You can only send a Private Message every 60 seconds." Even though I'm sure it took more than a minute for the recipient to reply to my PM, and for me to write the new one. So, I tried again; luckily this one did get through, but I still have to conclude BB's PM-system is a bit F-ed up.

The Quick PM back thingie doesn't save a record, but I'm pretty sure the person gets it....

Before you start concluding that it is a problem with the board - and since we've made no recent changes I think it is unlikely - let's try to find out exactly what has happened.

If you used the "quick reply" box that appears when you get a pm, it does not save to the sent pm's folder. When you originally sent the first message, did you allow the page to load fully before closing the window?

60 seconds can seem longer than you think, for one, and also if you accidentally hit the send button twice it will give you that message.

Used the "Quick Reply," problem solved. It was nowhere in the FAQ though, which I did search. Anyway, *IS* there anyway to save quick replies too?

Well it's not possible to have everything in the FAQ - we add things as they come up. No one suggested you needed to have looked in the FAQ.

No, there isn't a way to save quick replies. It's a template modification rather than a file modification, so that is how it works.

Erm, that sounds very technical, so I'll trust you know what you're talking about 😉

And erm, yeah, nobody mentioned FAQ, I just felt a bit silly it was so easily solved...
