poetry

a poemenm by inger hagrup, in norwegian😉 so you can see how that loosks.. this poet is very good!

to tunger

to tunger har mitt hjerte
to viljer har mitt sinn
jeg elsker deg bestendig
og jeg blir aldri din

dypt i det rà¸de mà¸rket
fikk lived dobbelt form
der kurrer det en due
der hvisler det en orm

to tunger har mitt hjerte
hà¸r på meg likevel
bli hos meg og gå fra meg
og frels meg fra meg selv.

in transleat by me.. so it might be alittle bad LOl

two toungs has my heart
two wills has my mind
i will love you forever
and you will never be mine

deep in the red dark
my life took a double form
there coos a dove
and there hisses an orm

two toungs has my heart
listen to me anyways
stay with me, and leave me
and save me from myself.

Again a famous french poet, soz, it's what i know the most

His name is Boris Vian (soz it's long)

I wouldn't want to die (Je voudrais pas crever)

Before having known
The black mexican dogs
Who sleep without dreaming
The butt-naked monkeys
Gobbling up tropics
The silver spiders in
Webs riddled with bubbles
I wouldn't want to die
Not knowing if the moon
Behind its fake nickel look
Has a sharper side
If the sun is cold
If the four seasons
Are really only four
Not having tried
To wear a dress
On the boulevards
Not having peeped
Through a sewer peephole
Not having put my dick
Inside weirdo corners
I wouldn't want to end
Without experiencing leprosy
Or the seven diseases
One catches over there
Neither the good nor the bad
Would cause me some sorrow
If if if I knew that
I would get it firsthand
And there iz also
Everything I know
Everything I like
That I know that I like
The green bottom of the sea
Where the seaweeds waltz
On the rippled sand
The burnt grass in June
The crackling earth
The smell of conifers
And the kisses of the one
She's this and she's that
The belle here she comes
My bearcub, Ursula
I wouldn't want to die
Before having used up
Her mouth with my mouth
Her body with my hands
The rest with my eyes
I say no more one should
Remain polite
I wouldn't want to fade
Without someone inventing
Eternal roses
The two hour day
The sea at the mountain
The mountain at the sea
The end of pain
Newspapers in color
All children happy
And so many other tricks
That sleep inside the brains
Of genius engineers
Of jovial gardeners
Of concerned socialists
Of urban urbanists
And of thoughtful thinkers
So many things to see
To see and to hear
So much time to wait
Searching in the dark
And me I see the end
It swarms and it comes closer
With its ugly face
And it opens its arms to me
Like a cripplety frog
I wouldn't want to die
No sir no madam
Before having tested
The taste which torments me
The taste which is the strongest
I wouldn't want to die
Before having tasted
The flavour of death...

Let's contribute with something funny, a poem by Tim Burton. I find his poems brilliant.

Mummy Boy, by Tim Burton

He wasn't soft and pink
with a fat little tummy;
he was hard and hollow,
a little boy mummy.

"Tell us, please, Doctor,
the reason or cause,
why our gundle of joy
is just a bundle of gauze."

"My diagnosis," he said
"for better or worse,
is that your son is the result
of an old pharoah's curse."

That night they talked
of their son's odd condition-
they called him "a reject
from an archaeological expidition."

They thought of some complex
scientific explanation,
but assumed it was simple
supernatural reincarnation.

With the other young tots
he only played twice,
an ancient game of vergin sacrifice.
(But the kids ran away, saying, "You aren't very nice.")

alone and rejected, Mummy Boy wept,
then went to the cabinet
where the snack food was kept.

He wiped his wet slockets with his mummified sleeves,
and sat down to a bowl of sugar-frosted tanna leaves.

One dark, gloomy day,
from out of the fog,
appeared a little white mummy dog.

For his newfound wrapped pet,
he did many things,
like building a dog house
à  la Pyramid of kings.

It was late in day-
just before dark.
Mummy Boy took his dog
for a walk in the park.

The park was empty
except for a squirrel,
and a birthday party for a Mexican girl.

The boys and girls had all started to play,
but noticed that thing that looked like a papàer mà¢ché.

"Look its a pàñata,"
said one of the boys,
"Let's crack it wide open
and get the candy and toys."

They took a baseball bat
and whacked open his head.
Mummy Boy fell to the ground;
he finally was dead.

Inside of his head
were no candy or prizes,
jast a few stray bettles
of various sizes.

I had to memorize this one: (it's suposed to be funny, but I don't know the author and title)

Ladies and Gentlemen
Hobo's and Traps
Crosseyed Beetles and Bull-legged ants
I come before You
To Stand Behind You
To Tell you something I've never heard:

In 1892 Christopher Cucumber sailed the Missislapi river
in his right hand he held the star spankled bannanner
and in his left he held the declaration of indegestion
and now for the news:

One fine day in the middle of the night
2 dead boys got up to fight
back to back they faced eachother
drew their swords and shot one another
a deaf policeman heard the noise,
drew his pistol and stabbed the boys.
If You don't believe this lie is true:
ask the blind man
he saw it too
he now lives in the upstairs
of a downstairs vacant lot

lol, yeah I wish I could remember the other one's we had to memorize, they were all pretty funny or cute....I can remember The Road Not Traveled by Robert Frost but not a little 4 line poem...lol!

I loved this one...it always gets stuck in my head...I can't remember who it's by though...

Unremembered and afar
I watched you as I watched a star
Through darkness struggling into view
And loved you better than you knew

it's really pretty...

I like a look of Agony,
Because I know it's true"”
Men do not sham Convulsion,
Nor simulate, a Throe"”

The Eyes glaze once"”and that is Death"”
Impossible to feign
The Beads upon the Forehead
By homely Anguish strung.
