I can now officially forgive Comic Book Guy...Mrs P went to his shop today to plead for my copy of no. 2. He told her that he was trying hard to get hold of it...but in the meantime please accept no. 3 at no charge 'cos he'd let us down over no. 2...result! Trouble is...how long can I resist reading it, even though I haven't seen no. 2 yet...are there any ways I can see no. 2 online?

You mean are there legal sites offering Buffy 8 downloads, for purchase, or other, right? No. Not that I know of. There are sections of ep 2 available at Dark Horse. The mentions you hear of finding whole issues of S-8 online however would be illegal downloads.

Actually "illegal" is a funny word here. What it means is you could conceivably be sued for the non-commercial uploading of the comic scans to downloaders, but that's never actually happened, even though it's no secret these uploads do exist. The board policy however, as you know, is not to discuss the where's and hows of finding those quote, unquote illegal downloads on the open board.

Aw that was nice of him. My comic book guy (err) is really sweet too. Somehow he remembered that I had asked about the alternative cover when I was in a few weeks back. So when he found an extra issue of that one, he saved it for me and asked if I wanted to trade my old one. (Naturally I asked if I could buy both, which I could, yayness..)

Anyhow, Mr P, I hope you find #2 cause yeah, great issue, mmhm..

I have DL-d illegaly all three issues so I can read them right away but I have ordered the first four issues from tfaw.com. I received both #1 & #2 on the 20th of April (#1 (second printing) & #2 were both released on april 4 so the delivery took 2 weeks). #3 was shiped on the 2nd of May so I should get it on the 18th or somethign like that.
Quite honestly pre-ordering from tfaw.com is a sure thing. As soon as new issues will become available for pre-order, that's what I'm going to do.

As n4h quite rightly points out discussion of illegal downloading is highly verboten on these here boards, so we'll go no further with that...as it goes, a very kind member has offered to help source no.2 for me (thanks to Anonymiss 😉) but I'm hoping that by the time we return from Theme Park Frenzy (aka our holiday to Florida) Comic Book Guy will have come up with the goods🙂

You're spot on with your promotion of tfaw...they have been excellent in previous dealings and I would recommend them but this time I thought I should support my local comic emporium 🙂

I have a subscription from tfaw.com. My issues come a couple of days after their official release, but I don't have to try to beat the other Buffy fans to our one local comic book store.

Huzzah! Comic Book Guy received no. 2 while we were away and Mrs P picked it up today, so I was able to read it and no. 3 this evening...now over to the discussion threads 🙂
