If a woman is ready to have sex she`d better be ready to accept the potential consequenses that may come with it.

No I guess youre right. Instead we should tear their limbs from their body or give their mother a pill that starves them til they die. I guess if that doesnt work we could crush their skulls and vacuum their brain matter. And while were at it, why not kill all the kids in the foster care system since theyre "damaged" too.Yes and thats not judgmental at all.
But I guess you'd rather have thousands of children grow up unwanted and abused yes that sounds like a brilliant plan. Let force them all to have children that they can't take care of and have a society filled with even more damaged people.

How can you place no value on a "fetus"? Its irrefutable that its a human and its alive. You talk about them like theyre a child. A fetus is not the same as a child. I'm sorry but cells are not greater importance then the mother who's carrying it.
I love children and I would protect them with my life. I hate that so many children have to suffer needlessly. So please don't make it sound like I'm a monster because I'm not. I never said to kill any child, and I NEVER said kill kids in the foster care system.
But why should a woman be forced to raise a child that she can't take care of, why should a child be forced to be treated horribly. Because that is what happens. It can be prevented by giving the mother a choice. I'm not saying that abortion is right or even a good thing, but it should be the mothers choice.

I get that people are going to have different opinions on whether or not abortions are morally/ethically right or wrong. Everyone has valid points as to why they feel that way and I'm not interested in why they feel that way; that being said I think this conversation might be better if we discussed the RIGHTS involved rather than the reasoning behind the beliefs.
My issue is whether or not people (women) should have the RIGHT to choose abortion. Do you think that the government should be able to tell the people what they can and cannot do to their own body? And if they can tell people what they can and cannot do with their own bodies how far can they go?

I ignored it because I dont see the need to repeat what Ive already said. Also Im on my phone and cant type the thousands of things I want to say. Its not placing the fetus above the mother. Its putting one lifes value on the same playing field as anothers. Allowing a mother to kill her unborn child is putting her financial, social, (or whatever reason she has) well being over anothers right to life. Thats wrong.Ok thank you for ignoring everything else I said.
Its not a human its a fetus. And why should it have more rights than the woman who's body it is.
While we may not agree on everything I do have to say we both have badass taste in fav characters. It's interesting how a simple question of "Where do we all fall on the political spectrum" turns into a heated battle on the topic of abortion...mostly between two people with Faith as their avatar.
To me, this means if you want to have sex, but not a baby, use birth control. If you want to protect yourself against STD's use a condom. If you do that and it fails, is it your fault? No. If you know you're not ready for a baby and you take all the necessary precautions and you still get pregnant, what is wrong with an abortion? It's a personal choice and like I said, every situation is different. If a woman is ready to have sex she`d better be ready to accept the potential consequenses that may come with it.
Sorry my phone wont post any more of your quote. You say it comes down to rights. What about the babys right to life?My mother had an abortion when she was in her twenties. It was a one night stand, her birth control failed and she got pregnant. I for one am very glad my mother had that abortion because not having a child (or being pregnant all 9 months) allowed her to stay in school, transfer to UNC, meet my dad, get married, have me and my sisters. Every situation is different. In my mother's case, having an abortion allowed her the opportunities to bring three children into this world and raise all of us well. I am grateful for that.
One thing reading through this conversation about abortion that stuck out at me was this quote from EntertainUs

Youre honestly going to tell me that you dont believe its a person?I'm not Zobo, but as aforementioned... It's not a baby. It's a fetus or an embryo. The Supreme Court has never ruled that it's a human life.
Also, as you probably know, there ARE post-viability limits in most states.

Newborns cant survive on their own. A lot of lung cancer victims and coma patients cant breathe on their own. Are they not people?Sure. If it can't breath (and therefore survive) on it's own, it's not a person imo. As I said: viability. It would become a person, but at the time it's not.
