Dog owners are so gullible.

The Pooch Selfie is an attachment that goes atop your phone that holds a tennis ball to get your dogs attention and look at the camera... someone made this and they are going to be selling them..

Yeah! I've already seen these! I used to use the dog's tennis ball to get him to look at my dslr when I was taking photos of him, it usually worked. Dog treats work better though. Me and my dawg got selfies down to a T.

Uh, I just say my dog's name. Seems to work fine. 😉

And, just for the record, I'm sure that there is no truth whatsoever to the rumor going around that your dog's name is "Spike." People who start rumors like that should be ashamed of themselves!

You must have a well trained dog. My canine friend starts running for the kitchen when I say his name.

It depends on the breed sometimes but I do try and train my dog a little with treats. I usually spoiled him rotten.

Yeah, he's a bulldog and he's always chasing a cat called Tom! 🙂

Still, that has it's appeal: 'Bad Spike! Bad!', 'Spike you moron you pooped in the kitchen!' Heh, nope- I'd never do that to my pet. 😛

One of my American cousins has a dog called Buffy, and Her Magesty the the Queen has a corgi called Willow (true!)- maybe she's a secret fan of the show.

Actually, I call my grandson "Spike" in remembrance of that bulldog (Seriously!)

But I'm seriously considering calling my next dog Spuffy.

My dog's name is Buffy and one of her best friends is a samojed dog (i.e. hello ultraperoxide fur 😉) named Spike. Maybe I should start calling 'em Spuffy when they hang out. 😉

As for the thing itself... what about when the dog never gets the ball? Seems kind of mean in a way. It's like offering a treat and then not giving the treat!

My deceased Basset Hound Anton LOVED tennis balls, he was just crazy about them. If I misplaced it, I just used to say "where's the little ball?", and he would find it anywhere, like under the bed, behind some furniture, outside the house... he was a hunter. He would have loved this trinket, although he was a dog that posed for pictures... my other Basset Hound, Hommer, didn't understand little balls. Once I gave him one, and he almost eat it all.

he's a bulldog

English Bulldogs and French Bulldogs are just the cutest things ever, and at the same time, they have that fierce face!

lol, Hommer sounds like my Buffy. She thinks everything is a chew toy hehe, and shreds tennisballs
While I'm not a selfie person, I can see how someone that has an easily distractable dog could use this to take pictures.

You got a new imaginary dog ? 🙂

Maybe his 6th sense was looking for tennis balls 😛
