poor Angel 🙁

I felt so bad for him when Cordy was going off with Gru. He looked so sad. I hate Gru so much, I think that Cordy should be with Angel!!! She's a demon now, so he won't turn into Angelus if they sleep together! Yay!!!
 
Okay, um, I totally do not want Angel to be with Cordy.

It does not matter that Cordy is a demon now, if he had perfect happiness now with anyone he would turn. But then again...maybe since Willow cursed him he would not turn - she may have left out a part of the spell. One never knows....
 
Wow yea I know what you mean......while I was watching this ep I was about to cry. Poor Angel! I really did like the idea of him and Cordelia together but I don't understand why everyone seems to think that just because she's part demon now that the two could sleep together.....it would still probably be one moment of true happiness.....so I'm really not sure if it would be any different. Still....poor Angel, and also poor Wesley. My favorite characters really took a beating in this ep

*pats CeCe* It's okay.....deep, calming breaths. Ok I'll just give you the short version and for anyone who hasn't seen all of season three.....well there will be spoilers in here.

You see Cordelia's visions were getting worse and worse and finally after a vision she collapsed and it was pretty clear that she was dying. Anyway it turns out that humans were never meant to take the strain that visions give so a demon offered to give her a life where she had never met Angel at that party in City of and she was a famous actress. However she felt compelled to help out her last vision *before she passed out into the coma* and realized that she wanted her visions back. So the demon offered to make her part demon so that she could handle her visions without all the pain. Soooo yea that's about it. I hope that helps you a bit. So far we haven't seen any side effects of the part demon in her besides the fact that her visions aren't painful anymore.
 
Angel only turns bad if he has sex with a human. That's why he didn't turn evil when he did it with Darla in S2, cuz she was already a vampire! Now that Cordelia is part demon, she'd be perfect for Angel. I bet they'll hook up at the end of the season...
 
*le sigh* I thought that the curse was that Angel would turn back into Angelus if he experienced one true moment of happiness, it didn't say whether it was with a demon or human. He didn't turn when he had sex with Darla because it wasn't a moment of true happiness since he really didn't love Darla ^_^

If he has a moment of happiness, then the curse will be enacted. I don't think it matters if it with human, demon, or otherwise.

In regards to his sexcapades with Darla, that was a moment of 'perfect despair', I believe he called it. Not happiness. So that would explain his not turning into Angelus thing.
 
If Angel can't have one moment of true happiness, then he wouldn't even go there with Cordelia this season. That's why in S2 he said he couldn't even date to avoid going to the next step. Remember that girl last season who had telekinetic powers? She forced herself on Angel and he backed off. He didn't love her but he still told her no.
 
Yeah, but as you said, he didn't love her. Love is a POWERFUL emotion, and if he truly does love Cordy ((shudder)) then he might find it harder to ignore any 'advances' she may make, and likewise, find it harder to not make any advances. Ya know?

On the same token, he has not made any outright advances on her, simply longingly looking her, etc, and things that perhaps only the viewing audience is meant to see. He may be 'In Love' with her, or simply 'In Lust' (I mean, think how he must feel!?!? He ain't a eunch [sp?] but pretty close...]

Just my opinion!
 
I do not think Cordy & Angel should hook up. They are just not good for each other. I can't stand Gru at all! He needs to go somewhere and fast! Cordy needs to find a regular guy and Angel needs to get Faith out of jail and hook up with her. 🙂
 
I don't really mind Groo. He has his quirks, but he loves Cordy, and that is all she needs, IMHO. 'Sides, she seems to have feelings for him as well.

And in terms of Angel and Faith...now there's an intriguing couple! 😉
 
gru is ok but he scares me...lol. angel n cordy are SORTA cute together but it wouldnt work out. i think cordy should just find someone normal and non-super-human or something. if angel n cordy were together, we might have some problems, i think they should just leave it. but..poor angel! he looked so hurt! i was totally crying 🙁 angel needs some happiness in his life too people! 🙂

Gru was better looking wiht the longer hair. he looks freaky now. (bu then his face was all weird when he had long hair... so...)

I don't mind the Angel hookup, but it's all about a moment of HAPPINESS, not a moment of sex. One thing that bothered me once was when some actress slipped him some hallucinogen into his drink and he turned bad until the drug wore off... ncie to give the image that drugs are "perfect happiness" don't ya think?
 
Yeah, thats a good point, BuffyAnnSummers. But in some cases, drugs can feel like the induce perfect happiness. Sad, yeah, but it really is the truth. And, Angel is advertised as being a more mature show, and so I don't think it was too bad. As bad as some drugs are, they do often induce happiness, and this is a fact of life, so I don't think this was too out of line...:-\
 
thats a great point. im glad angel is advertised as a mature show. that wouldnt be great for the younger generation to see but i dont think joss & Co. meant to really put it that way. i hope they didnt...but, your right, that is a fact of life, as sad as it may seem.

I don't think it was an intentional thing, but it was there. I also don't think that it had any suggestive powers, either. The idea that drugs have the ability to induce a happy state was simply re-enforced, something many already knew. This is a perfect example as to why young(er) kids shouldn't be watching Angel.
 
Plus, the drug in "Eternity" was some kind of drug that was supposed to give some one bliss... I'm assuming that was enough for Angel to revert or go borderline to having the same symptoms of Angelus.

I, personally, think that Cordy and Angel should NOT get together, and I think they made it pretty clear (or atleast clear to me) that that 'ship, or lack thereof, is over. Cordelia being just a bit demon-y does not mean that Angel can sleep with her and not turn into Angelus. Why he didn't change in "Reprise"/"Epiphany" when he slept with Darla isn't because she was a vampire, it's because he didn't love her... he didn't experience true happiness. The true love he had for Buffy is beyond anything and I highly doubt if he slept with Cordelia, he'd get anywhere close to that happiness.

No matter how cute a couple may seem, having sex isn't the whole "thing" of the 'ship. Look at B/A.. they didn't even truly pronounce their love for each other until "Surprise", and that's finally when they made love (about 2 seasons into their relationship).

actually, I heard a rumour that Gru is leaving when Cordy realizes that her feelings for Angel are bigger.
