So the dog thread gave me an idea. 🙂

I know a lot of us on the boards have or have had animals. I would love to see them and know more about them. So here's the thread for you to post a pic of your animal and tell us a little bit more about them.

I'll start:

This is the lovely Hilda that lives with me and my husband. She's a shih-tzu that's turning 3 this summer. She likes vegetarian dog treats, playing with her toy fox and to have her belly rubbed. Her spots make her look like a cow, but her nickname is piggie dog. 🙂

She's so cute, Miki!!

Well, this is my kitty cat. Her name is Bix because instead of being brought to us in a cat carrier, she came in a large Weetabix box.

She's 10 years old and a bit of a runt compared to the other cats around here. She's the most annoying thing in the world but I love her to pieces! She's scared of pretty much everything. Birds chase her instead of the other way around. She keeps me up all night. But she's very affectionate and I can't get her off me half the time :') She hates when we leave her. She gotten some proper separation anxiety going on as she's gotten older. I don't think she knows she's a cat. If you dare to eat a tuna sandwich in her presence, you better be wearing body armour!

This is my dad's dog, Blake. He was so lovely, but unfortunately a couple of months ago he had a stroke and ended up having to be put down 🙁 He was a lovely old dog though. So friendly and playful!

I only have one picture of my puppy Dexter on my computer, and its a crappy one. But here it is:

He is about 6 months old now, and growing like crazy! He is a Jack Russell and he is totally bonkers. He has so much energy! He is still teething which is annoying. He bit me the other day, and I said to him "How would you like it if I bit you?!" and I swear he howled "Noooo!!!!!" haha. I swear, I have never seen a more vocal dog, its really like he is trying to talk to you. Apart from the chewing on me like I'm one of his toys, he is such an affectionate little thing. I love giving him cuddles 🙂

 

[Black Eye Guy]

This is Cooper. He's a little brat, going through teething at the moment big time, so chews on everything, really likes my nose.

When I got him he was supposed to be 8 weeks, but the vet thinks the seller lied and he was actually 6 weeks, he was tiny and his legs could just about hold him up, and not for very long.

When I had him on the tiles in the kitchen he would stand for about a min and then his legs would just slowly slide out till he was lying down, lol, it was really cute.

This is Sam or Sammy, he likes either. He is way too talkative and affectionate and also likes to keep me up at night. He is also scared of the outdoors as I live somewhat close to a highway and it is loud but I am slowly teaching him to adventure a little bit at a time.

Well I have 4 cats haha so here we go...

This is Chrissy she's a little bitca. She thinks she owns the house and if you bother her prepare to have you hand shredded like cheese.

Shiba. She's my little princess. Everyone else in my home hates her because she can be quite annoying, she wont shutup. But she loves me and follows me around.

Charlie. He was a stray we found on the street. He was dying and we brought him and he got better. He's so antisocial, and he's germaphobic. He could care less about what youre doing unless you sneeze or cough then he gets offended and leaves.

Boo. He's a big lovable puppy. I swear he's a dog trapped in a cats body. He'll lick your hand and sleep in your lap. Rub his face against you. He's so friendly which is unusual for cats lol.

Here is my cat, Tiggy. Sadly he died a year or two ago

This cat used to eat anything 😛 I saw him eating peas once. 😛

We got him when I was like four. Apparently my uncle (who we got him from) wanted to call him Wolf (or maybe Wolfie) 😵

My brother called him Tiger. But that was stupid so we called him Tiggy 🙂 Technically he was my brother's cat, but he left home not long after he got him and didn't take him with him 🙂

I think the best thing I ever saw him do was put his head in my dad's mouth when he yawned.

Oh, and he used to get put outside at night time, and every night when he was younger he used to run from room to room trying to hide.

So, yes, I'm pretty much obsessed with dogs, as I said. This is my dog, Shula:

Shula is four years old and a Border Collie/German Short-hair Pointer mix. We got her for free from a farm when she was 8 weeks old - she kind of picked us by climbing into my husband's lap and refusing to move! She is insanely smart and I've put many hours into training her. I have done a ton of research on dog training, different breeds, talked to many trainers and groomers. I pretty much immersed myself into the whole dog world. 🙂 Some day I hope to start up a doggie day care/dog-walking business and foster dogs for the local shelter. (That will be a loooong time from now, once the kids are grown!)

Haha I used to have two cats just like these two. Mischa (also black and white) and TJ (who looked kind of like Chrissy). Mischa was such a whiner sometimes and everyone else found her annoying but she was my favorite. TJ was so chill (I think I liked him a little more, ahh I can't choose). He used to lick everyone and drink out of the toilet. He was a strange one.

I'll post pictures of my pets as soon as I find good pictures of them all. We've always had at least 5 animals in the house...heh heh 😉.

I would love love love a dog but I don't think I'd have the time/money to properly look after one at the moment.

I do however have a little hamster with the oh-so-original name of Snuffles, so called because she makes little snuffling huffing noises when she's just waking up. Hamsters are cheap and easy to look after. 🙂

She is a freak, and has chewed half her cage to pieces. But she is cute!

This is Kit Kat.

I found him on craigslist and met the woman at iHop to get him. (Every time I pass that iHop, I say 'That's where I got Kit Kat!') I've had him since he was 10 weeks old. (He'll be 2 years old in July) He loves shoes, plastic bags, and cardboard boxes. He doesn't scratch (he was taught not to) but he will bite me if I ignore him.

I lay a bag on my bed, step out for a moment, and come back to this. ^^ Every single time.

I've got a ton of pictures of him, but couldn't find any right now from when he was tiny. I didn't have a bed frame under my bed and when I first got him, he couldn't even jump up onto it! Now, he gets into everything.

No, he is not chewing on a light bulb, even though it looks that way. He was sniffing it as I took the picture. 😉 He likes Christmas. The lights and all the discarded wrapping paper amuses him greatly.

I love my cat. 🙂

This is Oliver. he is going be 2 yr old in July. He is a cocker spaniel(So we were told. But he kind of looks like a Brittany spaniel or a springer spaniel). He has eyelashes. He really does. We've had him since September of last year. He has some issues. Pushy / controlling issues which is probably always going be a work in progress. Other than that, he is really sweet and playful. He loves to sit at your feet. He is also pretty smart, probably too smart for his own good.

This is Kip, my uncle save him from an abusive farmer. He is scared on nearly everything and it takes awhile for him to warm up to people because of his early years. When he's comfortable with people he is a loving, sweet chatterbox (he can speak English and I think a bit of Spanish, I not too sure 😛) who gives cuddles and such. We've had him for about four years but he was a bit younger in the picture.

This here is Wesley, he is a 6 month old bastard of a cat, always playing silly games!

Last but not least, Ruby! I couldn't find a picture so I drew her. If you've seen a picture of Ruby you know this basically sums her up. She love's to eat and to be as noisy as she can.

Here's Meowth (yes named after pokemon 😛) he's 12 but acts like he's 3, he is scared of the film jumanji that when we put it on he woke up and ran to the DVD shelf and looked at the other DVDs haha. He thinks he is the King of the world, he hates every other animal and he is moody when you pick him up he is only cute and sweet when food is around 😛

This my baby girl Pysch (named after the show) she is 2 and acts like a kitten, she loves to play and kiss me, she follows me and always sits on my lap she can't really meow she says eow 😛 haha she is always running and chasing her tail I love her!!

This is Furgie he's my brother's cat but he lived with us for 6 months and he is 1 year he talks all the time, jumps on you and loves to be chased 🙂

This is my dog Buddy (named after Elf) he is 2, he is a mummys boy he is always following my mum and sleeping on her, he loves toys and he loves sticking his head out of the window he fancies Psych haha

This is our dog Misha. She's a Husky and about 13 years old. Apparently in this picture, the kids decided that she needed some WWE championship belts. 🙂 We used to have cats, and I miss having a cat, but I've got plenty on my plate as it is. I don't know how you guys do it with puppies!

This was my hedgehog, Sweet Lou. Sadly, he's no longer with us but he was absolutely adorable and loved being held and petted. And he hated being woken up, haha.

This is Spoko, my green-cheeked conure. His hobbies are soaring majestically, hoarding coins, and dining on human flesh (mine). Add a little fire-breathing and he'd totally count as a dragon.

This is Patch. He's 14 years old, and you can kind of see that he is going blind in one eye. He looks concerned here because he is wondering if I am going to give him a yogurt or not (he loves him some strawberry yogurt. Look, I don't question his life choices, okay. 😛).
