Potential watchers

Hi, I've convinced my teacher to watch Buffy this week, and potential is on, so since you guys have most likely seen it please tell me what happens... My main Q: Is the first in this one?

Hey I just had a thought based on what I thought the topic of this thread meant. What if the Slayer Line ends up continuing after the last episode? Who would take on the role of the Watchers? I can't think of anyone more qualified than the scooby gang. Maybe Xander one day will be sprouting words of wisdom to a young slayer much as did Giles to Buffy 🙂

Given that Xander has recently been labeled a "seeer" (spelling?), or the one who sees, his label seems very similar to the label of "watcher". I think it would be really cool to see Xander assume the role of a watcher. He would be different than your average run-of-the-mill watcher, seeing as he isn't the bookworm type.
