The best part about this eppy was the final scene in Angel's office. When Wes, Spike, Gunn and Lorne pledged to go into battle with him.

Knowing that it will possibly mean laying down their lives.

Hope the final episode lives up to the greatness of that scene.
 
yes of course!it is the final desicion!!!IMO the last episode was one of the greatest of the show although i kinda want more!!!
I was scared by Angel's "badass" look but in the end he proved to be our good,sweet,brooding Angel!!!

You might want to pick up Angel: After the Fall. Joss Whedon, creator/writer/producer of Angel & Buffy wrote this book which picks up where Angel left off in the alley.

thanks so much!i will watch all Buffy seasons after this year's Christmas and be ready to decide about the comics!

I had the same exact thoughts when I first watched it. I remember watching that scene with the episode aired on the WB and getting chills.

For me, what made it work was the absense of postering or bravado. Especially with Gunn and Wesley being mortal.

You could tell both were scared, but still chose to take on the Circle of the Black Thorn/Senior Partners.

Not saying that Angel and Spike weren't w/o fear.

Just that the odds of survival were higher for them, being immortal and all.

Not too sure how it goes for Lorne, being a more passive type of demon. Not known for fighting or killing.
 
GREAT episode.

Loved the bit where Spike admitted that he and Angel where intimate once.

It's actually funny. I've been doing a season rewatch since it's been over a year since I last saw it, but still, while watching the episode, I actually believe that the power had corrupted Angel, even though I still remembered how it all ended. So, great acting out acting about acting skills. 😀

I agree. That part was awesome. I just wished that Cordy would have been there with them =(

I also was never sure if Marcus actually saw through the illusion or not.
 
Man, I was like reeling in the episode.
I was actually entertaining the idea of Wes and company staking Angel. I couldn't believe he was doing those things! I was happy though that it was all a ruse! lol
Angel is a great actor; yet again he fools me 😛
 
I usually forget this ep, cos it's more of a build up to the finale, but I have to say that the final scene is one of my favourites in all of Angel.
