Angel (David Boreanaz) and Spike (James Marsters) return from England defeated, knowing that the ancient demon Illyria has completely taken over Fred's (Amy Acker) body and soul. Upon learning that Knox (guest star Jonathan Woodward) and Gunn (J. August Richards) have each contributed to her demise, Wesley (Alexis Denisof) goes for revenge and Angel tries everything to restore Fred, including calling on an old friend from Sunnydale. Meanwhile, Illyria tries to locate an ancient temple where she believes she will find an army ready to help her destroy mankind.

Hm, I wonder who the old friend from Sunnydale is ... I don't read spoilers, so this has me intrigued. But it'll probably just be a phone call or something ... Damn the pessimist in me. 🙁
 
yes, i wonder who wes will call for help, hopefully not willow, she was already in an episode of angel, but your right rocket, probably just a phone call ::eyes1:: i'm somewhat a pessimist too.

Yea probably only a phone call...damn it...

The episode looks like it will be very good though..even if we only get a phone call....I wonder who it will be to though...I don't read spoilers either.
 
i know who the phone call is to...but of course i wont say it seems like a good ep i cant wait to see how spike and angel react to her
 
AH! So it is only a phone call! Damn..... Rene, you can't wait to see them react to Illyria or the person from the phone call?
 
I'm glad to see Wes becoming more like his Season 4 self like knee-capping that W&H employee and now this revenge spree. This is making me all anticipated :: wacko :
 
Lorn was at the best I'd ever seen him last week

It was a powerful line, in an episode filled with strong themes of friendship and fear of loss. If you heard that line, you shouldn't need to question Lorn's motivations for getting a little violent with a woman that at that point he was pretty well convinced she had something to do with the mystic disease liquifying Fred's insides, he obviously cared quite a bit about her. And besides, above ALL things, don't forget that HE IS A DEMON! He may be inherently good, but he is still a demon.
 
I just got done with the episode, and will reply quickly (since its bed time, lol)..

I din't expect much from this episode, but must admit that it had a lot of good things!! Also some humor, which i din't expect..

Overall not as great as last weeks Joss episode, but still one of the better from this season: 8/10
