Decided that I already hate Andrew's new power- even if it does make him more useful- and I hope it goes away leaving him emotionally crippled. It would serve him right, he never suffers for the bad things he does.
the big mass of flesh looks like something out of D&D- creepy.
Personally I kind of can't believe that Andrew is still around. He never seemed that useful to me. I guess the writers really love him.
Like Anya was- somebody there to spit out the occassional funny line so nobody would focus on thier character too much.
He's just comic relief that's all. Like Anya was- somebody there to spit out the occassional funny line so nobody would focus on thier character too much.
I guess what really bugs me is that Andrew's done nothing to earn his place with the Scoobies. He's never called out for any of the horrible stuff he'd done in the past because why? He was an immature fantasist or something? What a load of crap.
He's gotten in with them by sheer persistance and by hanging around. He's a pest.
Sure, all of the characters screw up now and again but their (usually) held accountable. More importantly they seem to serve some fuction/use to the overall group. Andrew doesn't and never has. He messes up, is told off and then hey, all better.
As a fan of redempive characters in general his character stinks. 🙁
I was wondering about a sketch by Megan Leven released over a month ago and how it relates to the storyline of Buffy and Spike in the Love Dares you arc. I've placed it in a spoiler folder so anyone who doesn't want to speculate on advance sketches doesn't have to see it. I think it might appear in issue #12 coming up - but I can't be certain. Could be #13. I've talked about this on another board, but would love to get any feedback here.
This picture (apparently from #12) is very suspicious to me – especially aligned with Megan Leven’s tweet about drawing a sleeping vampire on November 21 of last year – about the same time that she released the sketch with Buffy and Spike in the graveyard that seems to be right after the kiss that ended Issue #11.
Megan Leven's tweet:
Drawing a sleeping vampire was starting to make me nod off. That's as good a sign as any that it's coffee time!
Looking at the picture, it seems likely that Buffy is somehow going to end up in Spike’s bed – I imagine not in a sleazy manner, but perhaps because she mistakenly believes either that’s what he wants or needs to make him see how well they fit together.
Look at the picture - the other person is in a separate panel that's consecutive to the Spike close up - It's a depiction of whatever Spike is reacting to - and the hair looks like Buffy's hair. They seem to be on separate sides of the bed - Spike is naked lying on a pillow while looking off in shock to the right because he's just realized to his great surprise that someone is in bed with him to his left and he is too frightened to turn around. The consecutive panel is deliberately cut in half so you can barely tell what's going on, but I'm pretty sure it's Buffy looking at Spike - maybe like he's the yummiest dessert on the menu.

If this is some kind of seduction scene and if she’s wearing something provocative or nothing at all, poor Spike is going to wake up with Buffy beside him and freak the f**k out.
If someone has a better reading of the above panel, I would love to hear it.
