I saw Whedonesque tweeted this, a couple of pages from the next issue.

YAY!!! Spuffy interaction 😀 Although, I couldn't help but think of "Lost" with the whole cork analogy. Are the comics really into "Lost" or something? Even in the last issue, the plane said "Oceanic" on it.

Why? Why the last page has to end like that? I'm so die of curiosity. But more than anything, I don't like this flying Angel much.

Spike and Buffy look like best buddies here. And the Dander scene makes me think someone out of these two is going to die. 🙁

A few things of note:

1. Spike's patter is just awesome. Kudos to Joss.
2. Madeira tastes like ass.
3. Xander and Dawn talking about moving in together? Yeah, Dawn's dead.

That's what I thought too when reading it. It was a cute scene but all I could think of was Xander/Anya hooking up right before she died. Joss loves getting characters together/making them happy and then killing one of them. Tara/Willow, Spike/Buffy, Cordy/Angel, Giles/Jenny...Its a long list. I hope he wont kill Dawn, but things don't look good.

I loved the Spike/Buffy scenes I was really annoyed with the last issue, I hated her reaction to him, but this scene was really good. And yuck flying Angel. I hate seeing Angel in these, I want him back on his own comics😛

Well, I thought the "Dawn dies" cover was just a red herring, but now I'm not so sure anymore. Their talking about moving in together just made "yeah, she's a goner" jump into my head. Call it the Xander curse.

Also, 'stache guy? I call Bizarro Giles. Or Future Giles.

*Groans* You'd think Xander would have learnt by now... being happy has a heavy price in the Whedonverse...

Though the protecter at it's side? Is The Master going to be old villain Buffy teams up with? The Spike and Buffy playful arguing makes me smile so much. I'm gonna freaking pray that their friendship stands through all of this (my inner Spuffy fangirl is looking for something more than that though...) they don't seem to be all that mad at each other 🙂 Oh and what's wrong with our Willow? *nervous*

Uhm...so...I'm starting to think Dawn's dead too. Xander has no luck in this department, poor guy. I almost fainted when I saw Buffy coming out of the shower...for a second I thought she and Spole..you know? Please tell me they didn't..:eek2:..but I don't think so...even if I'm a Bangel a Spuffy banter wasn't that bad.

No, I'll be willing to bet that the same thought ran through a LOT of minds, Spuffy. Bangel, and others.

Angel flying is just weird. Angel shouldn't fly. Period.

The flying in general I dont like, but mostly Angel. And Buffy. Willow has magic so fine, I didnt mind that in the beginning. But then Angel and Buffy becoming those superbeings and flying I just found the whole plot stupid.

What's all this hubbub about Angel flying? He has being doing it for issues and issues now. Why is it suddenly weird?

I thought a lot of the dialogue was rather contradictory of the info that we have already, but this is only a preview so I'll hold out till I read it.

Anyone else think Xander asking Dawn to move in with him was very reminiscent of his proposal to Anya during The Gift?

I'm not sure if Dawn is as good as dead now. It seems a little too predictable. It's exactly what we would expect, especially with the cover of the next issue.

That was a pretty cool preview! The Spuffy exchange felt spot on. And ewwwww Dander 🙁 I thought the guy with the moustache was the colonel who's with Amy & Warren, am I wrong? Isn't he supposed to be on there too?

Also I'm intrigued by the 'seed protector'... who's that? And I agree with Britt... What's up with the Lost references, like the cork and the bottle and the plane in the last comic, lol?

I'm liking Dander - they are very sweet together. I really hope that Dawn doesn't die... Don't like the fact that the General seems to be lisening into their conversation either. That can't be good.

Spike and Buffy - Freaking Amazing. They are so at ease with one another that I don't really mind that we seem to pick up their conversation mid point. Love that he calls her on the mistake that was the spacefrakking. Love that Buffy conceeds that they were 'set up' by the universe.

I'm thinking that Angel must be thinking about sewing a big "A" on the front of his costume, maybe picking up a cape, and weighing up the pros and cons of wearing his underwear on the outside....

Willow - what the hell just happened to Willow! Can't wait to get this thing in my hands!

I didn't watch Lost but from what I've gathered online, they apparently used a "First" like character in their last season?

Can anyone confirm that?
