Spoiler! Preview Pages of Buffy Issue 32 **Here Be Spoilers**

Awesome!!!

Wait...does Buffy's reference to guns killing her friends mean Satsu's dead or does she mean Tara and Riley and all the other slayers who died during the battle in Tibet?

I think it was a direct reference to Tara.

Riley didn't die in Tibet, did he? I thought he was just injured?

Also, there is something not right with Xander having that gun. There will be fallout, I'm sure of it.

Since when did Xander carry a gun? Apparently, I missed that announcement.

Alright, so all of Buffy's friends know about her superpowers, good to know, considering she was keeping things to herself last previews we saw.

Not sure how I feel about these new superpowers, I kinda feel bad for the other girls (read: Faith) having to go back to being 'normal'. I hope they sort that out.

But this issue looks fun, thanks, Kean.

LMAO!!!! That's so funny! I'm loving it! Xander and gun isn't a good thing, I'm sure it'll cause some badness -me more excited. Dawn seems to be the mature one between them.

Dawn in the preview really reminded me of her reaction to Buffy being invisible in 'Gone'. Freak out city.

Thanks for posting these, Kean. For some reason, Buffy carrying Xander is really funny to me.

I actually love it. Buffy and Xander have always been a metaphor for Superman and his damsel in distress blondies, since Teacher's Pet when Virgin Xander is captured and about to get raped and Superman Buffy comes to the rescue.

Tara, and the several dozen of her Slayers who were killed in the Tibet battle.

Satsu is still alive... there are a couple of other preview pages from this issue that were released on mtv.com a few weeks ago, and one of them has Willow talking to Satsu on the phone.

Don't know what's happened to Riley. Probably in the hospital.

ETA: Here are the MTV preview pages.

It's funny, yes, but Buffy having superpowers still bothers me. If I want to read a superhero comic, I read a superhero comic.

Also, did anyone else notice that even the format now, the way the characters were introduced is really similiar to how it's usually done in superhero comics?

i know what you mean about the intros, but notice how dawn says, "who said that?" or something like that--if i bring up the preview again, I'll lose this window. What I'm getting at is, I don't think those intros are meant to be taken as narration--somebody is saying those things, we just don't know who yet.

Also, to go 32 issues without introductory stuff (since xander and buffy's intros in iss 1) and then suddenly just toss some in wouldn't make much sense. Meltzer's more pro than that.

Everybody should read "identity crisis" by meltzer---very, very good.

I just hope you're right because I totally didn't notice that.

You liked Identity Crisis? Really? Eh, different strokes, I guess.
Just a technical point, but all of that conversation between the time that the handgun was fired and the time that Buffy overtook and cought it stretches my credability bar beyond the breaking point. A .38 Special round travels at as moch as 1200 feet per SECOND, and a .375 Magnum considerably faster than that. Apparently, Buffy can't only run faster than a speeding bullet, she can also talk faster as well.

"Forget it, Jake. It's a comic book."
🙂

Dang, you know first I ordered #34 for the Twilight Reveal and Awesome Jo Chen Cover. Then I ordered #33 for the awesome Jo Chen Cover (and as soon as it's available #35 will be added to the list I'm sure). And now I'm just going to have to add this one to the list because given the preview pages-- looks awesome 😀 It'll be interesting to see the gang's reactions to Buffy's new superpowers (and see just how far they may/ may not go). Thanks for posting this!

Looks like I'm donating my spending money to Dark Horse this month! :silly:

@ crazyflakes-- I loved everything about identity crisis except for the resolution. I mean everything with batman and dr. light and all that-- really good stuff i thought. the resolution though, and the mystery as a whole i guess, were my least favorite parts.
