We don't have a thread for this episode, maybe it went to the big forum in the sky when the boards were revamped last month. Oh well....

So, as far as season enders go (yes, I realize this is not the season finale, but to me Restless feels more like an epilogue- there was a big battle here, the Big Bad was defeated, yadda yadda), it doesn't compare to most of the others, but I really dug the uberBuffy. I loved that they joined their essences- they were so fragmented this season. To me the fragmentation really illustrated post-high school life. Anyway, I will never fail to be grossed out by Riley cutting his own flesh & digging out that chip. Blech. And Forest, Walsh and the other guy were so gross too.

Best lines were delivered by Xander:
"Spike's working for Adam?! After all we've done "” Nah, I can't even act surprised."
"Does anybody else miss the Mayor, I just wanna be a big snake?"

Any other thoughts?
 
There's a couple of Spike lines that crack me up 😉

but my favourite was

Uber Buffy/Scoobies was pretty cool, and it's kind of interesting to see that Spike can push the scoobies around but not really manipulate them. Everything he did backfired.

And yes Riley digging around for a chip that's attached to his 'thoracic nerve' is pretty freaky - especially how much he is sweating. Nicely done.
 
As much as I don't like Adam, I really like this episode. I love Willow and Buffy making up as they repel down the elevator shaft, with the Willow/Buffy/Xander hug at the bottom ("Giles, hurry up! You definitely want to get down here for this!"). I also really like Buffy's fight with Adam and how they end up beating him. Uber-Buffy with the Core Four together is pretty awesome.

Whenever I watch this episode, I watch The Yoko Factor before it and Restless after. Together, the three really work.
 
I like Buffy/Willow/Xander hugging at the bottom of the elevator shaft. Uber Buffy is always fun to see, but Adam didn't impress me. I expected more from a villain who was specifically created to cause harm and turmoil.

I did like that the scoobies couldn't be manipulated at this point...too bad they were later on in season 7.

I'm not the biggest Bangel fan, but that new banner is AWESOME. IWRY is such a great ep!
I really, really enjoy this episode. Uber Buffy is so much fun! And I love how Xander was so surprised he came up with something useful. I also enjoy that this wasn't the finale. It's nearly unheard of to not have the big bad fight on the finale, but Joss did something totally different and it really worked.

This episode was ok, not great. I don't really like the fight between Adam and "über-Buffy", especailly when Adams arm does this whole Inspector Gadget thing.

But I do love it when xander says "Oh God we're gonna die aren't we?" That alone makes up for a lot.. 😀
