Principal wood::noangel:

I don't think he's evil, I think he might be a new love interest for buffy!

um a new love interest for Buffy/ I haven't seen the ep but might he be a bit old? Anyway I don't know if he is evil or not but I would kinda like to think he isn't. So far every individual we have come across, aside from Giles, who has been an authority figure has been evil in one way or another, I think that it might be nice to see one who isn't, esp. as Giles isn't really around much these days.

Nah, he could pass for early 30s. Granted, Buffy's only 22 about now, but considering her other bf had a bicentenial...*shrug* I never thought of that....

And I completely agree with your opinion about wanting him to be good...I think the show sorely misses from the Giles-type authority figure who had a clue. The principal definately wouldn't be the father figure Giles was to Buffy, Willow, etc., but he could pass off as a big older brother.....which is disturbing when you think about him being a love interest....<furrows brow>

I think he'll not mendle into the Scoobies business too much, only into Buffys ::love::

Grayson, I think you are on to something with the "Puck theory" concerning Mr. Wood - it just rings too Jossy to not be in there somewhere. Although I would like to point out, in Puck's defense, that he wasn't/isn't necessarily BAD - yes, mischievous and self serving, as are all fae, but chaotic and neutral to a fault. I think, if Wood does actually have some connection to his namesake, that it will be on an observatory level or at least be slightly random - perhaps he will help AND hinder them, depending on the situation. Look at Ben - we all loved him, but in the end he turned out to be a slime, and nothing like anyone suspected. Joss knows what works, and most people really seem to be liking Wood's charismatic and dashing smile. Just wait - I don't quite think he's as bad as everyone else seems to, but I bettcha that wolf has bite.

Just a thought,

Midge,
The Godess, Herself

Well the Mayor had a charismatic smile too, but still I'd like to see him with Buffy

... but that won't be happening I guess ... maybe he turns out to be <<SUPRISE>> normal

Who here thinks he will get eaten too? And believe me, the last thing that we need is a principal who cares...unless of course, he cares enough to show us how to get into the girl's locker room without them knowing about it.

Why is it the last thing we need? Do you object to authority figures being portrayed as decent human beings?

I doubt he'll get eaten...way too Snyderesque.

SPY?

I think everyone is missing one other option on Principal Wood. The reason he knows about Buffy and wants her there is that the city council or maybe the new mayor knows whats has been happening in their city and at Sunnydale High. Especially after the last mayors ascension, which was witness by all the parents (who abandoned their children and ran). They don't know about the hellmouth or they wouldn't have built on the same spot.
