Problem with Private Message

I have been experiencing a problem with the private message function. When I signed on to the boards today, I was delighted that I had a message.

Then two things went wrong:

1. I could not private message the person back. I kept getting a message saying that admin has limited posts to one every 60 seconds. I didn't even get to send the message back. It never appeared in my sent messages, so I am assuming that I never even got to send the message once.

2. Now, everytime that I go back to the first page, the little box telling me that I have a private message keeps popping up! Only on the homepage.

Please assist me! Let me know what I should do to fix the problem.

Have you tried selecting the PM option in your user CP or from the Options dropdown menu at the top left of each BB page? I can't be too much help here I'm afraid, as I don't know much about how PM's actually work but I'm sure that someone will be along soon who knows more than I do...

Well, upon signing in to the boards again a few minutes ago, I have not received the pm box. So, I am assuming that it was just with that session.

So, that problem is fixed. But if somebody could explain why I couldn't send a pm again, that would be great. Otherwise, questions solved!

It let me send you a message Buffy Summers... so I think everything is up and running again. If you got it in your box, then problem solved.
