First off, I'd like to say "Maybe next time I patrol I should carry a bag full of bricks and use a stake made of butter."
I rushed the ending, but I think it's pretty good. I <3 Feedback.

Prologue: Into every generation"¦

A few years ago, over a decade, at least, there was a girl. Her name was Bethany. She was beautiful, with blonde hair, and green eyes. Her body was perfect, as if carved from stone by the Gods themselves. And, her face. Her face was that of an angel mixed with a warrior and just enough supermodel-movie star to make you fall in love with her the first time you ever saw her. She was the kind of girl that should have been plastered all over times square, advertising lotions that would make your skin a pale comparison to what she came by naturally. But, she wasn't. And, she never would be because she had a calling. She was a vampire slayer.
What's a vampire slayer, you ask? Well, according to demon mythology The Slayer is the one girl, in all the world, who is chosen to stand up against the forces of darkness. Sure, there are freelance demon fighters out there, and of course the members of The Watcher's Council Of England, that fight evil, but this girl, this Chosen One, she is selected by The Powers That Be to stand alone in an ongoing war with the unspeakable nasties that plague the ordinary world we believe we live in.
She's born with power, strength, and speed that no man could ever dream of obtaining, no matter how much he could bench press, or how many times he ran that track. She trains day and night, learning every style of martial arts, every race of demon kind, every deity used in every spell by every witch, around the world in this dimension and every other. She's basically man kinds only hope of survival when it comes to the paranormal, supernatural, and other-worldly elements of this universe that threaten our existence.
Bethany was one of the best. Every vampire she fought never got the chance to talk about it. Every demon she went up against was dead before it hit the ground. Everything any watcher could ever want his slayer to be, that's what Bethany was. She was unstoppable, at the top of her game. In the four months that she was the slayer, she dusted over 70 vampires, and killed at least 30 demons. She'd even fought Dracula during one of his visits to New York City in the early 1990's, and sent him back to Transylvania with his tail between his legs, running like a little girl who just got snapped at by an angry pit bull while trying to go over and play with it. Like I said, she was one of the best.
One night, she awoke to the fire alarm from the building next to the one she lived in with her father, and ran over to see what she could do to help. When she arrived, she found that the apartment was burning, and at the same time, crawling with vampires. She fought hard, and saved who she could; an elderly woman here, a small boy there. But, on the roof she met her demise at the hands of Lothos, the Vampire King. He drank from her, and tossed her lifeless body off the roof like it was nothing. That was the night the power moved onto the next girl.
The next girl in line was Buffy Summers. She killed Lothos, The Master, Angelus. She stopped Richard Wilkins' ascension on the day of her high school graduation and then sacrificed her own life to close a portal that would have caused every dimension to bleed together and probably bring about the end of the world as we know it today. Buffy fought alongside her friends, which were composed of witches, watchers, vampires with souls, and ex-demons. She even fought against a human-demon cyborg intent on creating a new race of creatures like himself that would ultimately wipe out the entire human race. There were rumors that she was resurrected and is still alive today but I've never read anything in her watcher's diary, so I don't know for sure.
What I do know is that when she died, Oliyanka was called. She didn't last very long. She was killed by a child eating cave demon somewhere in South Africa a few weeks after receiving her power. After that, the locals went insane and started killing and eating each other. They burned her watcher alive. It took an army of girls claiming to be vampire slayers to clean that mess up. I've seen pictures of the village after the assault. It was a disgusting, bloody massacre. Oliyanka was an epic failure. But, it happens.
There's a lot of tragic death like that when it comes to being a slayer. There was one slayer who was in the car with her watcher when she was called. They were on their way out for coffee during a late night study session when she received her power. As with every calling, the watcher had to report it immediately to the council so they pulled over into a gas station and he called from a payphone. They got back onto the highway, and not even five minutes later were crashed into by a drunk driver and both were killed.
Along with the one girl who is chosen to be the slayer, there are thousands of potential slayers around the world, many of which are trained before being chosen, and many of which who go on to lead regular lives when the power is passed onto the true slayer. I'm one of those girls, except I'm a guy. A potential vampire slayer guy. The only one in recorded history, so"¦ cool.
And, I'm a secret. The only people who know about me are myself, my watcher: Mrs. Quinn, and some of the higher ups in The Council. Supposedly I am going to be chosen. It's almost a definite. I've been training all summer, ever since Mrs. Quinn approached me in my high school last spring. I haven't told anyone yet. And, I've already slain 6 vampires and killed one demon. Supposedly, the small city I live in is located on one of thousands of Hellmouths, which are all destined to open during the final battle between good and evil. It would explain why there is so much paranormal activity here. It definitely explains all of the homicides.
So, I'm waiting. It's sad that I am, waiting for some poor girl to die so that I can step up as The Slayer and take her place. But, I hope it happens soon. Not that I want that girl to die, but I do want to get my strength. I could do great things for the basketball team with impeccable strength and speed. I wonder how high I'll be able to jump. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

so there's an inconsistency with Oliyanka. There was no army of slayers that soon so I'll change it in my hard copy. :S
