Prospects for the future

Assuming for now that support from the fans won't be enough to persuade the WB to reverse their decision, what are the hopes for the future of the franchise in general?

How likely is it that another network could pick up the show?

Could there be a movie or two on the horizon?

Does this have any effect on whether or not there will be a new Buffy spin-off?

Losing Angel is bad enough. Losing the whole Buffyverse would be complete disaster!
 
I think that a movie or two could be very possible. I also think that this could be a trade off between the WB and Angel fans. No more show, but we'll give you a movie or two. I think there is a very small possibility for another network to pick it up. Hopefully another ntwk will but I doubt it. This will not be the end. I don't think Joss will let it just end like this.
 
I think that the WB lost a few viewers since Buffyverse is gone. I think a movie or two won't fix it. They lost out trust. I hope another network will pick it up.
 
I'm hoping another network will pick it up, even if it ends on the WB, I don't think this will be the last we'll see of Joss, or the Buffyverse....at least I hope....I think there's a chance for a movie. Possibly.
 
If another network won't pick it up a movie or two I think are reasonable, with Tales of the Slayer continueing and a second Fray series coming I don't think the verse will ever die. And like spoilerslayer said, such a critically acclaimed production company like Mutant Enemy (Firefly, Buffy, Angel) won't stop it's work. I think that in the future we can be looking forward to a Buffy-esque series about a totally different matter.
 
I'm hoping for a feature film, not a t.v movie. Why bother with television when bringing Angel and Buffy to the big screen would be a very smart move. If the actors and staff are already agreeing to do the movie for tv, film it for theatres and make every Buffy and Angel fan in the world pee their pants with excitment! I'm sure there's a ton of differences between making a tv movie and a feature film but... dare to dream!
 
But not-Buffy/Angel fans wouldn't go to see it, so you'd have a rather slim targeted audience.
 
I dissagree. There is a vast Buffy and Angel fanbase (we're just like Treckies, except we have sex😀) and I'm sure the film would be made to appeal to everyone.
