I heard this rumor that Giles was getting a spinoff and that it will only be shown in the UK. This is unfair. So this thread is dedicated to the protest of it only being shown in the UK.

They don't want to show The Ripper in the U.S. because they're worried the ratings won't be as high as they would be in the U.K. or Australia. Who cares? They should show it in the states anyway! Don't they keep enough bad shows on the air here? They should atleast put it on a different channel. After all, BTVS and Angel are both American T.V. shows and they don't seem to have any problems airing them in other countries...
