Psychology of Joss Whedon

I got this book and I LOVE it! It's a series of academic journals analyzing the characters and stories of Buffy, Angel, and Firefly! It's so interesting, like this one guys's interpretation of why Buffy kept hooking up with Spike in season 6 and why she kept it a secret. If you're interested in any of that, I'd definitely recommend getting a copy from Amazon! 🙂

I really want this book. I asked for it Christmas just gone, but my parents really didn't understand why I wanted it, ha. I'm thinking of buying it for myself, at some point. I think it would be a really interesting read, especially considering I'm taking Psychology at sixth form, next year, I'd love to say 'Oh yeah, I've read a book on Psychology. The Psychology of Joss Whedon'. 😉

I own this book. Some of the articles are better than others. I reccomend it, though. There's lots of academic work out there on the show.

You should check out Slayage: The Online Journal for Whedon Studies. There's tons of great articles on there.

I also reccommend Televised Morality The Case for Buffy the Vampire Slaye, and Reading Angel, a series of essays on the show.

Awesome! I just started reading "Slayer Slang: A Buffy the Vampire Slayer Lexicon." It's a linguistic look at Buffy Slang written by one of the writers from seasons 3-7. His name is Michael Adams. If you go to Amazon, they have copies of it for 97 cents!

I really want this book. I saw the title and it hooked me. Psychology is my thing. Joss is my other thing. Joss and psychology in one book = biggest win ever.

Eaxactly! I'm a psych major so when I saw this I thought, "I MUST HAVE IT!"

I haven't read as much of it as I've wanted to. But me and my book have a big study date this weekend!
