I hope everyone's been voting.

I received another e-mail from Insomniac's TRL board a couple of minutes ago:

Hey gang,

Everyones been doing a great job all week-end voting! I know some
people have voted in excess of 500 times already!!!

The song is still TRAIN "Calling all Angels" and I just wanted to drop
a line to let everyone know we need a good strong showing over the
next 21 hours.

Don't forget from 2:55 until 3:30 EST we need to get as many people
on the phones as possible to make sure our voices are heard! The
number is 1-800-342-5688 and I want every teenie-bopper from here to
L.A. getting busy signals tommorrow because we got the phone lines
jammed!

Happy voting and I'll post results tommorrow afternoon.

Ok, this sucks big, HUGE, boulders......but don't be discouraged folks.....

Ok, I'll admit we could have gotten beaten by J-Z and Britney but who
the heck is Yellowcard?!? I refuse to believe we got beaten by a
group I've never even heard of!

Ok gang we'll give it one more shot. I need EVERYONE voting their
heads off for the next 24 hours for

I know we worked hard but maybe (and I find this highly unlikely) we
ran into a fluke and got out-voted. I'm gonna ask we try one more
time and if we fail again we'll know for sure that MTV is as full of
KAKA as the WB is these days.

Don't forget the phone in efforts Tuesday starting at 2:55 EST to 1-
800-dialMTV and if they don't play it tommorrow we'll know that MTV
is the sold out station they deny being so adimently!

Although I, along with so many others, put in a mongo effort to vote for Train, if it doesn't work for a few days running, how about trying to vote for a video we know will make it on to the countdown, even if it is unrelated and swamping it with SAVE ANGEL!!! scrolls?

Got this e-mail a few minutes ago. It seems we've suffered a "casualty"....read on......



Well gang I guess MTV's full of it when they say it's all request.
Makes me wonder if they even count the votes.

Anyway, I can't see waisting any more time and resources on this
avenue when they've shown that they won't allow our voices to be
heard.

Some people have recommended voting for the top 20 songs, but after
watching this week I've noticed they don't even put viewer comments
at the bottom anymore either. 🙁

So I guess this is the end of the effort, much to my personal dismay.

You guys have been a fantastic group and I truely feel bad that MTV
wouldn't allow us to be heard.

I had considered a write in campaign against MTV but this takes up
time and our focus from our primary goal. We're not trying to
legitimize MTV, we're trying to save our show.

To that end I encourage everyone to continue the fight in your own
ways. Other campaigns are still running including The Blood Drive
which I would recommend everyone consider as it truely is a wonderful
idea to draw publicity.

So for me it's back to trying to get my career started again and
dealling with my now blown up car.

Thanks for allowing me to lead you for a brief time and with that I
say a tearfull good-bye.

I want to thank all of you as well....all of you that went out of your way to put in all those votes....it was a noble and inspired effort out of you guys.....but please don't feel bad....our effort only failed because of anally restrictive network politics....not because we didn't vote enough.

You've done well....don't lose heart.....we still have miles to go.....
