Black Eye Guy
Taking over the World!
Source and More InfoMedea was a woman from Euripides tragedy Medea; she was the daughter of King Aeetes of Colchis, on her father's side she is descended from the God of the sun. She is a skilled practitioner of magick and uses her skills to help Jason (of Jason and the Argonauts), get the golden fleece from her father, then the two run away together, They go to Corinth to live with their two children, when they arrive there Jason leaves Medea and their two children from a princess and Medea is devastated. As a form of punishment for Jason, she kills his new wife and her father, and then kills their own children, all in revenge. She then leaves Corinth to go to Athens where she will be safe, my story starts just before she arrives in Athens
I studied this book for my Classical Studies class and the first thing I thought of was how cool it would be to tie her in with the Buffyverse so that is what my Fan-Fic is based around, It takes place in season 7 between episode 13 "The Killer in Me" and episode 14 "First Date", I know it's a weird place to put it in but I thought I would tie it in to the series.
So let me know what you think!
Punishment
Outside Athens, Greece, 431 B.C.
A woman sits on a rock, looking straight down. Guilt gnawing at her insides
What have I done? She thought, Was it worth it?.
Just behind the women there is a chariot, attached to it are two demons that look like small dragons. Their wings folded behind their backs.
The Women stands up, quickly wiping a tear from her eye before letting it run down her face.
Then speaks out loud, but still to herself.
"I had no other option, I could not be mocked my enemies. And the pain it will bring him will be tremendous, even if the pain I feel is greater."
She walks slowly to the chariot as she speaks, then kneels down and rubs her hand along something in the chariot.
"I had too"
She looks at her children in the chariot, both so peaceful, as if they were sleeping.
"They are not asleep, don't try to fool yourself" came a mans voice, making her jump up.
She grabbed the sword from the chariot, still stained with their blood and swung around to meet her opponent. She saw a figure standing a little off, too covered in shadow to make out; she could only see that he was wearing a hood with long robes.
"What you've done, don't try and hide from it" He said walking forward, making the features of his face a little more visible, there was something not quite right about him.
"Most would have succumbed to the guilt already, but you are different, you have managed to fight it." He continued, with a slight edge of pleading in his voice.
"It is a hard battle to fight, one you will be fighting for the rest of your life."
Then he stopped walking forward, his tome of voice changed, it almost sounded excited.
"I can take that away; you will never feel it again. All I ask in exchange is that you continue to do this."
The woman was listening intently, but the last part confused her.
"I don't understand?"
"Yes you do" He said, "I want you to do exactly this, continue dealing vengeance where vengeance is due"
Now the Figure took another step forward, removing the hood covering him.
He was a demon, His skin was a blue colour and he had horns upon his head.
D'Hoffryn watched the women, if she was afraid of him she was not showing it. Then he realised that after everything she had seen and done, a demon standing in front of her was probably not as startling as it would be to other people, and he could tell, already, that she was considering his offer. He looked at the women, who eyes were begging to learn more of how to rid her guilt.
"You would be immortal, time will pass but it shall have no effect on you. Only the gods themselves have that privilege. Live forever and lose the guilt of what you have done, this is an offer you can't refuse"
"What is it exactly I would have to do?" She asked. D'Hoffryn smiled.
"Vengeance, you will hear the cry of wronged women and you will have the power to make their deepest, darkest desires come true, as yours have, punishing the men that have wronged them, just as Jason wronged you."
The women turned around and looked at the children lying in the chariot.
"Medea, that guilt, It will be extinguished"
Medea turned back and looked straight into his eyes.
"I accept"¦"
D'Hoffryn smiled again and moved towards the women, he placed his hand above her hart.
"Good"¦"
Suddenly a flash of energy travels down his arm, and flows into Medea.
She screams as the power flowed into her, her face suddenly changes, from her human form into that of a vengeance demons, then back again. Still the energy flows into her until it suddenly stops, and D'Hoffryn removes his hand from her chest. Medea pants in exhaustion.
D'Hoffryn unfolds the hand he just removed from Medea, a necklace has appeared, more beautiful then Medea had even seen before. She takes it from his hand, knowing that i is hers.
"Let's get started" The demon said, smiling at what he had just created.
The first of many.
