How would it have been in they would have decided to have a Puppet Buffy episode instead of Puppet Angel? Would Spike react the same way as he did with Angel if he saw Buffy in that condition? Also how about if they have made a OMWF for the Angel series instead of Buffy? Can you imagine Cordy, Angel, and Gunn hitting those high notes? This is just for fun to see how everyone thinks it would have turned out and if it would work the same way or not.

Puppet Buffy just wouldn't work anywhere near as good as Puppet Angel. I think one of the reasons it worked so well for ANgel is that it was so completely unlike him. And Spike wouldn't react the same way with Buffy as he did with Angel, they didn't have the same competitiveness that Spike and Angel had.

OMWF on Angel would be a mixed bag. Lorne would work great for it, and if Lindsey was around he'd put on a good song (something similar to Spike's song I imagine). But Angel singing, I'm not sure if that'd be funny or just embarassing to watch. And as for Gunn, I shudder to think, he'd probably go for a rap or something.

I'm having visions of Angel doing his dance party moves and trying to sing...it's tragic really (yet highly entertaining).

Gunn should play against type...he did have those Gilbert and Sullivan skills towards the end...

Well he loves the Ballet, he could do Dawns Lament instead;)....Gunn in Tutu...not wanting to imagine that....TOO LATE
Well they didnt have to do a OMWF Angel. Thanks to Caritas, they got to sing plenty. And for some, once was enough 😛

As for puppet Buffy, I cant see why that would be funny.

Angel (the show) was more serious and adult than Buffy. So to have the main character (a vampire, no less) turn into a puppet, well thats just funny.
It wouldnt work on Buffy at all. None of the characters were serious, or adult enough for it to be worth it. Plus, Buffy's human so you dont have the fun of seeing a vampire puppet 😀

My Feet are cold, Hell must truly have frozen over;)
Puppet Angel worked because Angel even though he is hard as nails him turning into a puppet is what you least expect, and he can do cringeworthy embarrasing and funny at the same time! For Buffy well it wouldn't work i can't imagine what her as a puppet would look like! But OMWF eppy well aprt from Angel it may work i would liked to of seen Gunn do a rap 50 cent style!

LOL Gunn would have been awesome.
Gunn do a rap 50 cent style!

Ohh, see I get it, Gunn is Black so obviously he would rap eh.

Personally, I have to say that you can't judge what an Angel OMWF episode would have been like based on the characters singing in Caritas. Remember that off-key noise they sang was purposefully sang for comic effect. I don't know if any of them can actually sing, but i'd wager that they possibly could especially as they would have been taught that when they went to Drama School.

I would like to have seen Sweet turn up in season 5 Angel as a Wolfram and Hart Client, maybe do a little duet with Lorne in Life of the Party or something...that would have had the house ROCKING...maybe 'Over the Rainbow' as a small nod to season 2 or something....ohh or 'Monster Mash'.

As for Puppet Buffy, I think Wicked said all that needed to be said. It wouldn't have had the same impact HOWEVER, I daresay if it had been done like that we'd still have loved it because you KNOW one of the good Buffy writers would have done it🙂

Apparently Joss is a fan of the musical, and if you look at all 3 of his televised series there's a lot of musical talent there. Tom Lenk (Andrew) -opera. Summer Glau (River) - ballet. Sarah Thompson (Eve) - singer. Christian Kane (Lindsey) - singer. Then there's Amber Benson, and Anthony Steward Head. What if they were all gathered together for a Joss-written musical. Wouldn't that be something?
