As some of you may know (or not) lol, i am a huge fan of Quantum Leap, and i think from one of my other threads that a few other people on here are as well.

I have searched endlessly for a Quantum Leap forum, found one that is still "active" although it's very quiet.

So i hope that on here, it may be a bit more lively lol. So yeah, for anyone who loves the show, or for anyone who hasn't seen it and wants a bit more information on it, hopefully from reading some of the many posts (i hope) it may convince you to give it a go.

For anyone who does like it, Scott Bakula has again said (early last year) that he and Dean Stockwell will have a 'cameo' role in the Quantum Leap move should it go ahead, personally i was a little bit disappointed that their roles may be limited as they were key to the show being what it was, but i am still happy that they will be involved. Anyway, enough rambling from me, i will post more of my own ideas IF the thread picks up and people are interested lol.

Hope you are all doing well!! 🙂

Awesome show 😀 Loved it 🙂 Would love to see a Movie but it would not be the same without those 2 in it.

As i said, Scott Bakula has hinted twice over the last 2 years that a movie script is being written by Donald Bellisario (creator of Quantum Leap series). But Bakula has hinted that he and Stockwell will only have a cameo role in the move if it happens with "bigger and better actors" taking the main part.

It was back in 2004/05 that it was hinted that the movie would be a pilot episode for what could be a new series, and i would love for Stockwell and Bakula to go through one more series together, think they would definitely still be up for it, even if they weren't the two "leaping" i think they could still play a very big role.

I used to live quantum leap. It reminds me of being a child. I watch it now when it's on tv 🙂

Quantum Leap was an excellent show. I love the chemistry between Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell. The show also tackled some hot-button issues from the late 80s-early 90s, and I love when shows can do that in an intelligent and thoughtful manner. Two episodes I absolutely loved are "Justice" and "Running For Honor." In "Justice" Sam leaps into a member of the Ku Klux Klan, and tries to save a civil rights activist from being murdered by the Klan. In "Running For Honor" Sam leaps into a possibly gay naval officer, and must save a discharged cadet from killing himself for being gay. That was an intelligent and excellent episode. Overall though, I think my favorite episode is "The Leap Home" where Sam leaps into himself as a teenager. This is a touching, and pretty sad episode. I really enjoy this show. 🙂

The thing that I liked the most about the show was how Scott Bakula was able to pull off all of the diverse characters that Sam jumped into. I think my favorite episode was when they did "Man Of La Manchia." The way that the series ended was kind of strange, but somehow also appropriate.

In a way i both loved and disliked the ending (didn't hate it lol). It was a very nice touch that Sam went back to tell Beth that Al would return home safe. I think it always played on Sam's mind that Al saved his brother and gave up his "freedom" to do so. (Stating he was always free in his mind). So it was a very nice touch that it ended the way it did. However, i think that there was still a lot that could have been done.

There still seems to be a big "if" factor as to whether or not a move will happen, but i would have hoped that Bakula and Stockwell would have more than cameo roles.

Jeff86 - The Leap Home was great!. I think i liked every episode for one thing or another, and that every episode added something and gave you something to think about. Especially since i was only about 6 or so when i first watched it, even at that young age it taught me a lot about how people used to be, and still can be, and how much things have changed, or are very much still the same in a different light.

I remember though that a lot of fans were always thinking "is it possible?" to go back in time as Sam did and helps others. Still, we'll probably never find out.

LOOOOOOVE Quantum Leap! 😀

I very briefly joined the forums at Al's Place a few years back, but there didn't seem to be much happening there, and it was right around the time that I got busy with my wedding stuff, so I kind of...forgot all about it. I tend to do that, heh!

But yes, love love love LOVE that show. I'm also a huge Scott Bakula fan.

Now I want to rewatch it. It's been a few years since I have.

BlessedLunatic - Funny you mention it, i just signed up to Al's place about two weeks ago lol. Really quiet though. Most of the articles i looked through are lucky to get 5-10 responses after a month or so.

Was reading that it was always on the go in around 2009, but quiet ever since.
