hey the Queen of the Damned release date for the UK is Friday 12th April....ooo im so excited im hoping to see it on saturday .....just wanted to let you all know::wave:: ::wave::

I'll hopefully be going on Monday... with a special someone 😉 ::heart:: But I was jus' wondering if you would have to have seen Interview With a Vampire to understand this? I've only seen bits of it, and don't wanna go and not understand it...

But, on a happier note, it looks *really* good from the adverts, as too does Alliyah (sp?). RIP Alliya ::water::

I haven't seen the film, but a couple people I know (I live in the states) have and they said that you don't need to have seen Interview With the Vampire to understand it. Basically because the films don't tie-in very well together.

I should be going to see it Friday or Saturday (I bribed a certain boyfriend to take me. although he thought IwtV was "disgusting" because of all the blood) It's just a shame that Aaliyah never saw the final product, because she looks amazing in it

edit: Okay I saw it yesterday, and it is absolutely friggin amazing, I actually like it more than IwtV...I'm not going to say too much so as not to spoil it for other people...but I loved it and I can't wait for it to be released on dvd!

I went and saw this tonight and I thought it was really good 😀 Aaliyah didn't have that much of a big part though... I got a bit confused with the storyline, I think maybe people who have actually read the books would understand it better. I'm an aaliyah fan (R.I.P) thats my reason for watching it 🙂 so it wasn't for the anne rice appeal. The rock music really set the film. Aaliyah looked amazing and Stuart T didn't do a bad job at all. Apparently anne rice fans will be disappointed according to the reviews, but as an aaliyah fan I wasn't. Some really cool scenes, worth a watch 🙂 Shame she never saw it though 🙁

Well I'm going to see it this afternoon, so I'll tell you what I think then, but some reviewers said it was rather disappointing, considering how much Aaliyah was in the trailers, that she was only in it for 20 mins. And lets face it; no matter whether yyou prefer movie or book versions of a story, the other one will always disappoint!

I have to admit I preferred it to IWAV, its much more interesting. IWAV did tend to go on whereas I thought this was more fast paced. A definite buy for the dvd collection 😀

oh I love QOTD its my second favourite movie
I want to so see it again even though I have got practically the whole movie on my computer in screan shots hehe

my friends say I have an un healthy obsession with Lestat 😛

I saw it - BIG disappointment! 🙁 I won't be rushing to see this film again! I had to read the book first, didn't I, otherwise I may not have been so critical of it.

Lol I've bought a boxed set of Anne Rice novels; Interview with the Vampire, QotD, the Vampire Lestat, and the Tale of the Body Snatcher; they're still in the cellophane though, I'm saving them for after my exams 😱
