So I'm hoping there are some Tarantino fans here. Which Tarantino movies have you seen? What do you think of him and his movies? Which one is your favourite?

I've seen Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown and Kill Bill (vol. 1 & 2). And I've seen Four Rooms, in which he has directed the last part of four. And I've seen movies that he hasn't directed but still was involved in, like Natural Born Killers, From Dusk Till Dawn, True Romance and Killing Zoe.
I like all these movies a lot (maybe with the exeption of From Dusk Til Dawn), so I won't bore you with telling how much I love each movie unless anyone asks or says something I have to answer to.
 
I think he makes a guest appearance in one episode of Alias. The show's really 2 dimensional and sucks in general but that episode was pretty good IIRC.

Actually QT is in at least two Alias eps. I'm surprised you don't like the show but if everyone liked everything it would be a boring old world🙂. I'm a big Alias fan btw and also a big Tarantino fan. I haven't seen any of Kill Bill yet but both volumes will be on my Christmas list 🙂

I have the others he directed on DVD and have watched most of the ones he wrote or acted in. The guy is a bona fide movie genius IMO.
 
No way, really???

I am too fan of Alias, & I never realized he was in the show... wait a sec, what season, what epi, what villain? So far I've not seen S3 but it's on the way. Was he in it before S3?
 
I love Quentin! I've seen all the movies he's directed except Jackie Brown and have them all on DVD. I think he's a true movie director that really knows his stuff. I could watch Kill Bill over and over again and never get bored. He's a genius.

That's what I'm looking for.. he is a genius. Kill Bill is just amazing. Though Pulp Fiction will always be my favourite, maybe just cause that's the first movie (of his) I saw. You should see Jackie Brown, though. It might not be as good as the other three (four) but I do like it a lot, it is really good.
 
Yep, I loves me a good Tarantino flick. I really enjoy how he brings characters to life by having them carry on these quirky little conversations even as they commit the most violent of acts. An ex-gf of mine hated him because she felt that the violence was too casual in his movies, but I think it's maybe more realistic coz real hitman/thieves etc. would be casual about what they are doing. It's only appalling to the viewers coz we don't live in that world but hitmen would talk about just general rubbish on the way to whack someone if they'd been doing it long enough.

Maybe its a guy thing, but I find everything he does so geeky-cool, you know what I mean? Kill Bill Vol.2 was a big let down after Vol.1 though. I just felt it was too slowly paced and talky. It still had some great moments. I especially like the way he ripped off the old Shaw Brothers Kung Fu movies when Uma was training with the old chinese the guy. The eratic zooms in on him etc. Just brilliant!

Eponinethen, what's not to like about about 'From Dusk 'Til Dawn'. I loved it, it's a thriller about dangerous bandits on the run, oh wait, no it's a vampire horror. And George Clooney was never so cool as he was playing Seth Gecko.

About the violence. I do agree with you, sort of. I don't know about it being realistic or not, and that doesn't really bother me. Tarantino makes real movies in that way. (It's hard to explain what I mean but I'll try.) His movies are supposed to be "just" movies. They're made to be a great two-hour-thing. And that might sound boring.. I'm not saying his movies don't say or mean anything, cause they do, I'm just saying it's not supposed to be about some real event or something we can all relate to. Every moment of his movies are great, thought out, beautifully done, amazing.. The details are important and every part is special. So, about the violence, it doesn't have to be realistic. He doesn't encourage violence in his movies, he doesn't say it's a good thing, but he uses it in a great way in his movies. I find the violence to be beautiful (and that has got nothing to do with me liking violence in real life or even in other movies), I love the way he uses it and I love the way he makes movies.. To me it's as simple as that (although I do have a hard time explaining it, lol).

About From Dusk Til Dawn. I never said I don't like the movie, I just don't love, it like I do with the rest of the movies he has been involved in. The reason for that might be that I haven't seen it for years (all the other movies I've seen man times and in the last six months)..
