Question About Angel - Season 4 Opening Credits

Ok, you know how the Angel theme has that slow start and then gets quicker. In the season 4 credits when if first gets quicker it has the camera zoom in on Angel who is standing on top of a building. Now correct me if I am wrong but I don't remember that ever being used in an episode.
 
I just popped in a tape to see what you're talking about... do you mean the shot of Angel when he's turning into vamp face?
 
I have seen a discussion about this before, and no one remembers seeing it in a episode!
 
I can't anyway,the one where he turns into a vamp face looks like when he drank from Buffy in Graduation,but the other part ive never seen
 
Its straight after the vamp face. I think it was taken out when Andy Hallet joined the credits so look before that.

Oops, that's why I was missing it. I was watching the theme for 'Orpheus'. I'll put in another tape to check it out. Is this only in Season 4 or you just haven't checked the other seasons' themes?
 
I'v seen all 4 seasons and I don't remember that shot ever being used in a episode.
 
Never sean it either. When S4 premiered, I remember thinking that the shot was in a new episode we were about to see cuz they do add shots in an episode before the episode is over. Is it maybe from a deleted scene or something a director did for the opening credits?
 
I know exactly what your talking about and can honestly tell you it HAS NOT BEEN in a episode. If seen almost all of the episodes but think about it. Why would he be all the way up there looking at the camera??? It's possible I'm wrong but I don't think so.
 
I don't think it's been used in any episode, but the building looks very similar to one used in the Angel unaired promo.
 
It was taken of the credits once Andy Hallett finally joined the credits!
 
It was taken from the pilot episode.
DB stands on top of a building and talks about his life and Buffy 😉
 
I'v seen the bit where Angel is standing on top of a building talking about his life and I don't think he looks the same. That looked like season 4 Angel. I could be wrong.
