I know Angel, or Liam rather, was born in 1727, which makes him 276 years old. Here's the question:

Angel was sent to some unknown Hell demension where he apparently stayed for hundreds of years. Would that make him hundreds of years old?

'Buffy' fans have been debating that he should be at least 376 years old since he spent a hundred years or so in a hell dimension. All I got a say is, he's walked around on the earth for 276 and been a vamp for 250 years (not including the time in Hell) and counting.

he is probably older than 376,i always heard he's stayed in hell for hundreds of years, that's more than 100

Maybe the writers cant be bothered taking all of that into account, and instead just say that his "age" only applies to years on Earth that can be counted... like from 1723 - 2004.

I really have no idea.

I like to take how old he is from his vampire birth, 1753. So he is 250 years old, in my mind.

As people have said he's been on earth for 277 years, a vampire for 251 years. As for the time he spent in hell, is it even possible to tell how many hundreds of years he spent, since I am sure he is one of the few to return and one of the fewer to regain his mind, its impossible to tell his exact age including that so its easiest and more accurate to just state his age on Earth, anyway since age is a relative thing because time is a relative thing, it would depend on your prespective, from the Earth's perspective he is 277, but from the denizens of that hell dimension he is hundreds of times that age.

Hell time and earth time is different. They say that in a Buffy episode, but I can't remember twhich one.

Yes they do say that (Buffy Season 3 Beauty and the Beast Giles: I really can't say. From what is known about that dimension, i-
it would suggest a world of... brutal torment. And time moves quite
differently there, so...

Buffy: I remember. So he would've been down there for hundreds of
years.)

but from whose perspective, from Buffy's perspective Angel was in hell for months (she was told that time runs differently but she didn't experience that difference), from Angels perspective he was in hell for hundreds of years. Whose to say which is the correct perspective, to accurately get that you would have to be a being out of time completely.
