Question about Lie to Me

In the club, Buffy takes Dru hostage so she and the wannabes can get out. But how did she know that Spike cared for her? No soul, you're not supposed to care. Help, please?

Well, she had happened upon vampires many times before...knows they are capable of lusting after each other, even withoutt he soul. She knew that Drusilla ran with Angel back in the day, and probably made a connection between it and assumed that Spike and Dru were together.

The fact that Spike and Dru were still together after all this time made it fairly obvious.

She could have been wrong of course. If Angel hadnt been re souled he'd likely still be with Darla and wouldnt care if Buffy held her hostage.

Angel or Giles told her something along the lines that Spike and Dru were together. She just used Dru to her advantage. I dont think there has to be any "knowing" to it. She used the easiest way to get out.

I think she made an educated guess. I think she figured that even if Spike didn't care about Dru and let Buffy stake her it would have been one less vamp to deal with 🙂

Giles told Buffy that Drusilla was a "sometime paramour of Spike's." Which means, she was his lover.
