Question About Meeting Gunn and Jonathan

I will be meeting J. August Richards and Danny Strong this August. Last summer I met Nicholas Brendon and Andy Hallett and it was of course a blast, I am a little less enthused about these two though. I was just wondering if anyone who ahs met them can tell me how they were, if they were funny, fun, amazing, etc. Thanks I would appreciate it.
 
gunn should be cool...johnathan should be cool...i hope your not like paying to be with someone...the whole "hang out" for money concept seems funny...
 
Where are you meeting them?

I've met J. August Richards and Danny Strong a couple of times and my husband has done security for Danny when he was over in the UK.

They are both real nice guys 🙂
 
I've seen J August on stage 3 or 4 times now and each time he has stolen the stage for me and been extremely funny with some great story and joke recaps 😀

The time I saw Danny he was paired up with George Hertzberg and were a great double act 🙂 Danny also continued through the evening with some fantastic moves on the dance floor 🙂

Both great convention going guests in my opinion 😀

I met Danny Strong at a recent convention and he was a lovely guy! Also quite funny and really nice. You will not be disappointed.
 
Well, some changes have been made to the con, J August is still going, but Danny is gone and has been replaced with James Leary. I was disappointed, because Clem was a lesser role. Anyone know if James is an entertaining guy though? Harry Groener is also going now as well which i am looking forward to because it goes without saying that he is pretty amazing.
 
First rule of thumb - never underestimate how funnier, witty and how many stories a person who you think had a "lesser role" could tell 🙂

I've been to a few conventions over the years in the UK where people think certain actors are bought in as "time fillers" and have in fact been more entertaining during question and answer sessions than other guests.

There was one Buffy convention where a guy called Neil Roberts (who had a smallish part in Charmed and nothing to do with Buffy) was invited along and he was fantastic 🙂

At another one Elizabeth Anne Allen who played Amy (in only 2 episodes at that point - so a "lesser role" perhaps?) was extremely funny and entertaining. Of course it wasn't long afterwards that Amy was re-introduced and bought back from being a rat ....

In comparison I remember Julie Benz's first UK convention when she was very shy and stumbled on a lot of questions ... over the years she has become more comfortable and seems to really enjoy herself now 🙂

It comes down to whether the actor or actress is happy and comfortable being on the stage. I guess also it depends on how down to earth the questions are as you have to remember that a lot of them only have a few days to learn scripts sometimes and don't necessarily remember every nitty little detail about an episode like a fan does 😀

James Leary is SO funny! Really, really good. Really great guy and really fun! Don't worry, you will have a great time. And from what everyone is saying about J August is going to be great too. I haven't met him but would love to.
 
i met harry groener on the first day of the convention. he's such a nice guy! we talked for a while and i was really glad to meet him. he's a really friendly person. when i saw him, i was like, "hey! it's the mayor!" haha..
