Question about Spike's Chip

I'm relatively new to "Buffy". I started really watching it during the end of season 4 (maybe 5), and now watching the reruns on FX.

I have a question though about Spike's chip. Does he not have it anymore? If so, how did he lose it? I guess I missed it somehow.
 
Thanks! I was reading on some other sites where it seemed like they were talking that he didn't have it anymore or that it didn't work.
 
Yup he is still got the chip in his head, so no sucking necks for him!!!
 
for some reason he can hit Buffy can't he? I'm sure he did at one moment, can't remember when though...
 
yeah, he thought that there was something wrong with the chip but it turns out that he can hit buffy because of the way she had returned or something...::water::

Thats it, she is not actually human any more!! Afterall she was reserected!!🙄
 
He can still hit people but it hurts him.Like whenever he hit Tara to prove she wasn't demon it hurt him but Tara was hurt too.
