Question about the Immortal

I've read that they explained what was the relationship or non relationship Buffy and him had in the comic.
Could someone tell me what exactly happens between them??
It's for a fic
 
If you need more specific info about what happens between fake Buffy and the Immortal I would recommend reading the book 'Queen of the Slayers', as that pretty much dealt with it.
 
Except, of course, for the fact that "Queen of the Slayers" is Holder's interpretation of what happens after the series, and not canon at all. Oh, and it deals with if the real Buffy was with the Immortal and not a fake Buffy. Throwing everything to the wind, you can refer to Queen of the Slayers.
 
Also, according to the comics, Andrew set up the Immortal thing 'cuz he thought it would be funny. Hehe. Buffy didn't get the joke.

I seriously doubt that Buffy was in on the joke. That whole thing sounds more like what Giles would do as a subtrifuge to keep Angel (and later Spike) in the dark as to where the real Buffy was. As long as Angel thought that Buffy was in Italy, Giles would be able to block any kind of communication between her and the two vampires (and it's almost a certainty that Andrew told him about Spike being back as soon as he got back to London and the New Watchers' Council) who he considered "unworthy of his Slayer."

And what was the joke, you might ask? For once, someone else had made a decision affecting Angel (and later Spike) without allowing the vampire(s) or Buffy any say in the matter, something Angel did more than once.
 
Ok thank you I'm doing a crossover with Doctor Who, and this fits perfectly into my fic, although my Buffy is in Italy I just can use the TARDIS a go to Scotland. LOL

I doubt Buffy was in on it, too. In fact, she seemed slightly confused about why Andrew thought it was hilarious. And MAYBE Giles was in on it. I don't know. The decoy Buffy definitely sounds like his idea. Not letting even the vamps (who, to be fair, were at that time affiliated with Hell, Inc.) in on the truth sounds like Giles' idea. Sticking it to the boys with the Immortal? While Giles may be the only one who was very familiar with the vamps' records (WHY doesn't Buffy know more about their pasts?), it doesn't sound like him to go out of his way to play a malicious prank on the vampires. I still think it's possible that Andrew, who is little Watcher Jr. right now and probably devoured the surviving watcher's diaries like so many comic books, came up with it not just for amusement, but also to keep Buffy away from Spike, whom Andrew not-so-secretly adores.

Wish i had the comics right now... Hope what I ordered comic has a Queen of Slayer.
Just little confused... Some of the Episode on Angel (the girl in question, I think) Buffy is dating an Immortal which Andrew said that Buffy is moving on...
Then if that Buffy was fake how come the informant of Angel is wrong or the one who was following Buffy was fooled...

Queen of the Slayers is an unofficial novel by Nancy Holden, you want to get the Season Eight comic instead for the official story.

I don't the term "prank" has anything to do with what Giles would have in mind by allowing the vampires to believe that Buffy was in Rome cavorting around the night spots with one of their worst enemies. If it really is Giles who is responsible for the whole hoax (and this is only a theory on my part, based on my beliefs) it is far more likely that his actions are based on pure malice toward Angel for killing Jenny Calendar and distrust of Spike. Remember, Buffy was always the one to defend both vampires when everyone else considered them evil, and she would most likely still feel that same loyalty, regardless of where Angel worked.

It would not be at all out of character for Giles intercept and block all communication between Angel and/or Spike and the rest of the gang. Remember, when Angel called for help with Fred, it was Giles he called, not Willow directly, and it was Giles who refused to relay the message, even though a human life hung in the balance. He told Buffy that he "wanted something better" for Buffy than a vampire, regardless of which one it was, and there is still enough Ripper in Rupert to lie, cheat, steal, and even let others die to achieve his interpretation of what was right.

If Giles isn't the real bad guy in this whole thing, if he isn't keeping Buffy in the dark as to what is going on because his personal feelings have clouded his judgment where Angel and Spike are concerned, he's certainly missed a great opportunity.

He might have been a little peeved Angel called him Guyles in that conversation though and just wanted a bit of revenge.
I think by that time Giles didn't trust Angel because he was working with the enemy. He probably knew he was doing to defeat them but knew it was a mistake and didn't want do anything with Angel.
 
So Queen of the Slayers and Season 8 are totally different interpertations of what happens after???
Which is better to read???

Season 8 comics are the ones Joss is writing and says are canon. That's the one you want, if you want to know the canon.
well the S8 comic is canon meaning Joss says its what actually happened
 
got a question...
Im searching for a Queen of slayer but I only found in the net about the queen of hearts is it same or i guess i have to search once again.
I do had S8 of 1-17 somehow of what Ive read is like there's a one girl which they do like to be Buffy and also there's a tiny fairy is it the queen of slayer? Or it is just my illusion to call it like that....

Re-reading the comic, I don't think the fairy gets a name. Also, if you're looking for the Buffy decoy who dated the Immortal, this girl is not it. She's the decoy who went "underground."

Well we should also keep in mind that during that Episode in Angel Season 5- when Angel and Spike go to Italy with intentions of also seeing Buffy, it was well known that Angel & co still were working for Wolfram & Hart. (when he took home the crazy slayer) Andrew blatently says "we dont trust you now" or something to that effect. So, the "trickery" as it were regarding Andrew telling them that Buffy's seeing the Immortal I think was due to that (not trusting Angel & Co) AND because it was absolutely hilarious to see them both be like that..

The joke was about Buffy dating Angel, a vampire, an immortal.
Andrew thought it was funny if a fake Buffy dated a immortal kinda like the real Buffy. Ha ha they both dated immortals.

I think the joke was more that both Angel and Spike absolutely hated The Immortal
 
*I* got the joke. I just don't think Buffy did cuz, hey, she's never been up on the Watcherly knowledge. That was always Giles' job.

The Immortal as a suave, debonair, guy with an evil talent for charming the ladies out of the beds of our favorite vampires was a hilarious idea for a "villain." Hehehehe. I loved "The Girl in Question" as well as the reference to it in the first s8 comic.
 
I think it's awsome that even though it was a fake Buffy, the immortal dating her, made Spike and Angel agree on something. They put their own "hate" aside to hate on same subject
