Question about the intended Ripper series

So Ripper was gonna be based on Giles but was this gonna be set Pre Watcher days or after The Chosen finale? I saw a quote somewhere where it said that

"Giles, played by British actor Anthony Stewart Head, was nicknamed 'Ripper' while he was dabbling in the occult during his rebellious youth."


It really wasnt specific about the timeframe of which it would have took place. anybody know when it might have or if Joss may have said anything as to when?

I don't know, but you would think before hand. But then wouldn't you think it would be a little hard to show ASH that far back? So who knows.
Sorry I wasn't much more than a ball of confusion.

I have heard that it is after Chosen, and Giles has a relapse of sorts. I believe there is a thread about it in the News section.
