Question about the vampire who killed Faith's watcher

I actually like the idea of the randomness of it all. I sort of look at it in the same way as how humans age differently. Some keep their hair, others don't. Some start to lose their eyesight, others barely notice a difference. same with vampires. As they get older they develop random demonic features.

On the other hand we have only seen two vamps like this, so far, those being the Master and Kakistos, and we are uncertain as to which of the two is older, at least for definite anyway. It's possible that the Master was the younger of the two and that if he had survived and aged further then he might have ended up with a look similar to Kakistos. The only thing suggesting that isn't the case is the fact that the Master's bones survived his dusting when Kakistos' did not. That would suggest that the Master is perhaps the older of the two, giving his bones more years to become more durable. Hard to say without a third example of an ancient vamp to give us more of an idea.
