Question concerning building a free web...

Call me blonde but what the heck is a site footer? See I'm trying to build this free-web and it asks for a site footer and off to the side it says
Your Site Footer will appear on the bottom of all your pages. If you want a copyright symbol
(©) type: ©
(ex: Copyright&copy = Copyright©)

Now I don't speak computer so I turned to those of you who do... Please help me!
 
I don't know the answer but I'm willing to bet that there are loads of members who do - however, I am going to move this to the Help forum 🙂
 
OoOo I have a freewebs page, I just put my name and then the © and it will appear at the bottom of the page.
 
Yep. I used to have a free-web, as well. The footer is at the bottom of your site. Like your own kind of disclaimer to ward of anyone from jacking your stuff.
 
In some sites (not sure about free, but we used to do this at work) we used CSS or Cascading Style Sheets...it's code that would input a footer at the bottom of your site (logo, colour banner, and links with contact us, site map and copyright info). I'm thinking it's probably along the same lines..whatever you put there will be automatically put at the bottom of every page on your site.
