Okay, this is a strange one because it's about me trying to find out if there is absolutely any truth in a rumour that i actually have no belief at all in.

A friend of mine just mentioned to me that she read in an Alias forum that Victor Garber (Jack Bristow) and Bradley Cooper (Will Tippin) had an affair at some point during the first two seasons of the show and it was due to their break up that Bradley left the series. Or more accurately that Victor made the producers decide. An "Either he goes or i do!" sort of choice.

Now i want to point out straight away that i don't for one second believe this to be true and i would appreciate it if nobody took this to another forum and broadcast it as fact. Just to be certain that nobody links to this thread as some sort of validation ... THIS IS A TOTALLY UNCONFIRMED RUMOUR WITH NO EVIDENCE TO PROVE IT IS TRUE IN MY OPINION!!! 😀

My reasons for doubting this are numerous ...

1. That whilst it has long been rumoured that Victor is gay, even though i do not believe he has ever formally come out (not that there is any reason the guy should have, it's his private life after all!), i have never heard anything to suggest that Bradley may be.

2. That if this had been the case there would have been a hell of a lot more talk about it in the various Alias forums. It would be very unlikely something as discussion worthy as this subject would go barely mentioned for nearly two years.

3. That Victor has always seemed to me to be a really decent guy and not somebody who would force another person out of a job, even if they had been an item and then split.

4. That not only have the reasons that Bradley left the show been very widely linked to the writers not knowing what to do with him as a regular in season 3, there is also the fact he returned for an episode anyway, and was willing to do so again this year. Not something you would assume an actor would do if he had been sacked for the suggested reasons.

The main reason i'm risking spreading this rubbish by posting this here is to simply see if anyone else has heard anything at all that would give this the slightest bit of validity. I've followed Alias very closely from season one and i really cannot believe i would never have heard this mentioned before if it were at all true. So anyone want to shock me with some real facts?

I never heard of that before. So I guess I don't know if it's true or not. And I've been watching Alias from the begining. Great show!
