Okay, I'm not sure if this has been talked about before but here goes....
When Dawn was visited by her Mom in the house, her Mom said something like "Buffy won't choose you." Does this have anything to do with anything else before the end of the season? Like when they say "little miss muffet counting down from 7-3-0" or whatever, it has some meaning.
Did this phrase have a certain meaning that I missed?
And did this post make any sense?😀

Don't think so - not sure - yes 😉

I think it was just to make Dawn doubt, I don't think it was connected to anything else.

There was an interview in which Jane Espenson clarified that Joyce was really The First in these scenes which would suggest that nothing she/it said was valid.... Sorry, can't find it just now. Possibly there's a link to it in the other threads disscussing CWDP.

Being that that was Joyce, I have to again ask (I can't let it go, sorry) what was the other pressence in the house. You know, the one that touched Dawn?

It has been mentioned that Buffy did not choose Dawn before the final battle, she in fact got Xander to take her away. But she came back, like a boomerang!

This has caused a lot of debate really.
Was it Joyce? Was it the First?
Jane Espenson says it was the First.
But even if it was, he was right, as AshSan said, she sent Dawn away, so, it could have been refering to that 😉
