Currently the staff is like follows:
Admins - myself, Buffy Summers, Cordelia, Wesley
Head Mods - Willow, The First Evil (formely Lindsey McDonald)
pMods: Samphirette (meets forum) I always spell your name wrong sorry hon!, FiveByFive and Winifred Burkle
Also keep an eye out soon for new mods 😉
I can't recall exactly but I think the previous BB had more mods. But we did have more in the form of Oz and Tara McClay but due to lack of time they gave up their positions.

As you can see; we are in favour of recycling, mods come and go, it's a balancing act.
In answer to Rayne's question; me is single, and ditto to Faith; single white female 😀 who is far too busy for either a man, kids, or one of those things called a life. I'm sure I had one of those around at some point. I am *so* looking forward to going back to uni and not getting a day off for 4 months. Between uni, volunteer placements, work and so on, I won't have a day off from now until 23 December 😀
Please god no one ask the origins of the BB.......this could be a long track as it dates back about 5/6 years to my knowledge. This version of the BB was, as Faith said, started by Xander Harris...umm...a while ago! I've been involved in it's various names and so on since I was 14, and now am 19, as a poster, mod or general protagonist 😀

This is such a great thread! Can i ask a question? Are there any neccessary requirements that "potential" moderators have to meet? e.g. a significant technical knowledge or a certian quota of posts?

No technical knowledge is needed (thankfully or I would not be here) and post count does not matter, its quality not quantity.
We look for the ability to get on with other members, someone who posts regularly, around the boards, not just in one forum, helps others. Just someone with a good head on their shoulders really. The only neccesity is that you be insane 😉

I agree with ehr insanity comment; from what I've seen, all you need isa good sense of humour, and of fairness, and to be stubborn as a mule. Not to mention a regular occurance on the boards, no matter how much or little you post.

Speaking for myself and Andy (Wesley), we helped Matt (Xander Harris) open up the very first BB, we started out as Head Mods back then, in fact being husband and wife we took the usernames of Buffy Summers and Angel😉 - we got involved as we were already members on his charmed-boards and he was looking for people that knew alot about Buffy and wanted to help him set up a board - in fact if I remember rightly he actually asked our opinion as to whether a Buffy Board would do any good - our answer - an emphatic YES!!
We stayed through some good and bad times, then departed for a while to work on After-Darkness, along with Faith, Buffy Summers & Xander Harris, and then when Buffy Summers took over BB in this reincarnation, and asked us if we wanted to come back, we were more than willing - we took a step back a while ago, and my hubby doesn't get the chance to be around as much - hell, I don't let him get a chance 'lol' but we just can't stay away from this place - it's like our 2nd home. 😀
As for other original members of staff that would be Faith & Buffy Summers from the original BB.

I was a massive Buffy fan, it helped me through tough times at uni and with flatmates, and I got chatting to some great people.
Original staff are myself, Buffy Summers Wes and Cordy.
Coffee and loud rock music, without it I would not be able to leave my bed in the morning.

Is there a sort of three strike rule for banning people? Or do you just decide how severe their devience is?
Banning is not something we take lightly. There is no pre-determined rules regarding it. We look at each case individually and come to a decision together, assessing what action is the best way to go.

I grew up on Bon Jovi, Aerosmith and Guns and Roses. At the moment I mostly listen to The Calling, Stroke 9, Semisextile, Jonny Was (great punk band), The Stereophonics, Greenday, Travis, JT, Switchfoot and quiet a lot of different things.

AshSan; no we are perfect angels, and how else could we lead but by example (having said that; the mod and admin forums specifically are for us to discuss stuff, so we do so 😀 )
Musically; I love just about everything; I just have to hear it, and I go either yay or nay; my cd collection varies from evanescence, black sabbath, dj hell, oakenfold, christina aguilera, and so on. Covers just about everything 😀
