Question to Smallville fans...

I have a feeling many Buffy fans, just like me, turn to Smallville right afterwards. Just for you is this juicy little piece of gossip.

I just got wind of an episode for next season tentatively titled, "Detective"...

Smallville gets a visit from a mysterious 20-something stranger garbed in a long black wool coat, grey turtleneck, and combat boots. This amateur detective has come to Smallville to resolve some 'issues' with Lex and a mystery over a woman in their mutual past.

You see, he's been 'out of the country' for a few years and just found out she died mysteriously while with Lex... her death covered up in a Kennedy-esque effort engineered by Lionel.

There is even a priceless scene written where the stranger is roughing up Lex for info... Clark comes in and tries to 'super-muscle' him off his friend, but finds himself judo-thrown across the room!!!

My source tells me that this young man will come and go in Smallville without ever telling anyone his real name... or should I say 'secret identity'.

Now I wonder who he could be?... 😉

No way... Batman's going to be on Smallville?

Well... not exactly the Batman.

Due to character licensing restrictions, Smallville's producers are having a tough time setting up an appearance from a pre-Bats Bruce Wayne. But there is a loop-hole; the Batman's early years are surrounded in mystery... all that's known is that he traveled the world in cognito acquiring and honing the skills he use one day.

Smallville may choose to keep things mysterious, leaving the character unnamed but dropping just enough hints for the comics-savvy fans to fill in the gaps.

One other important point - the stranger and Clark definitely do NOT see things eye-to-eye. While they may partner to solve the mystery, there is not going to be a friendship between the two.

A side-plot is going to have Lana falling for this guy big-time. She meets him when he saves her life and stops a robbery of the Talon... ahead of Clark!
