Does a television weigh more when it is turned on compared with when it is turned off?

Give an answer and state your reasoning.
 
I would've said no.

Don't think that the electrons disappear when the power is turned off.
They just don't "move" and doesn't generate electricity any more. (guess that is a bit simplified but I'm no expert 😉)

Besides, the mass of an electron is ridiculous small.
So any amount of additional electrons would just be this silly theoretically weight that you would not be able to measure.

This was my reasoning as well. I'm not versed in science, but I don't think anything new is generated/destroyed in the tv but rather is moved around as needed.
 
The weight of electrons is neglible, but still an extra weight, no matter how small, so yes I would say heavier
 
This is part of a circuit where electrons enter one wire and leave the other. The weight does not change because for every one that enters, one leaves. Something the size of a car only has about one pound of electrons in it.
 
Unless you have a really good screen cleaner the chances are that the dust on a screen will weigh a lot more than the electrons.
 
I would say no, but it would seem heavier as it's still attached to the wall!
 
As it's still attached to the wall? What is? And what are you saying no to?
