Quick question about Angel while he was on Buffy..

I was reading the interview in the TVGuide that they had on him and the show, during the 100th episode and the question came up with when Joss knew David could handle a show all on his own. And it was when David/Angel was possesed by the teacher and it showed some of the acting ability Joss was amazed by, or something along those lines. What episode was this? I'm drawing a blank.... ::dk::
 
I loved Angelus's reaction at the end...feeling all perverted by love....and poor Giles...

I think that was DB's strongest performance that season..along with "Passion" and "The Becomming pt2"
 
yeah, DB's acting was really really good in "I Only Have Eyes For You", and I totally agree with you Vicious - he was also really strong in "Passion" and "Becoming"

I have this artical on my wall and here's what it says, it was in a tv guide magazine with db on the cover.

When did you think "we should give this guy his own show?

Joss: Durring the [1998] Buffy episode when Angel was posessed by a [female] teacher. I watched david play this woman with complete dignity and grace. I saw chopis I had no idea he had.

David, what was your reaction to the news?

Joss: [imitating Boreanaz] "My own show? Thanks!

Boreanaz: [laughs] when he presented it to me, we were shooting a [flashback] scene in a confessional booth and I was just concerned about my irish accent.


Yeah it was "I only have eyes for you" and I think the flash back scene was from Becoming. I don't know which part. Which one ever has all the flashbacks. I'm thinking part 1. Not sure.
