Did Giles have an answer machine, and if so, which episode did he get it in?

I vaguely remember him in unwrapping something in his house but can't remember what it was.

At the end of the season four episode "A New Man" it looks like he is hooking up an answering machine because he gets a new phone that is cordless because he had been turned into a demon by Ethan Rayne and had accidentally destroyed his phone. Not sure if that's what you were thinking of but I think that's what you are referring to.
